    Never seen a zombie holding a block...I saw them with gold and chainmail armor, showels, and other tools, but never a block lol

    If you kill a bunch of zombies and their flesh falls on the floor or whatever drop they dropped, the zombies that were following them will pick the item up.

    this also applys to skeletons, they run at you and do a ton of damage if they have a sword...they can also be equiped with armor...

    My favorite was a time when I set up a large sheep farm beside a village on single player. A zombie siege came and they had to walk over the sheep. It looked like an undead game of leap frog. Sorry no screen shot.

    Indeed, I once got killed and saw them wearing my armor + diamond sword.

    The problem is, if you have seen these mobs in adventure maps it is because with mcedit you can change everything about the mob that is spawned, including health, potion effects, what they hold, what they wear and more. Also if you through armour on the ground (or swords) zombies will pick them up, a great feature if you ask me. Hypixel has a few maps that make great examples into that if you want to see more. In the wild they can be spawned naturally with items but it is rare on easy, semi-hard to find on normal(ImDeity's difficulty) and common on hard. Otherwise continue to share cool appearances, I was just letting people know if they wanted to know why this happens.

    Yeah... sadly I believe unless you also edit what the zombie drops, that armor + sword wielding zombie won't drop back your items :p
    I think some zombies even spawn with some cool items now btw

    Yea some people take advantage with the items spawns on the zombies...and i was playing a map 3 days ago in which a zombie with full gold spawned by accident...i named him phil...then ripped him apart...
