    the mining world has almost NOTHING its hard to find even coal. i the server should get an ore generator or somthing.
    maybe have the mining world reset once every 24 hours but we REALLY need to do something about this. :(

    you're not looking hard enough cuz theres plenty of ore where i go mining. and guess what

    1. its far from spawn
    2. i dont dig 1x2 holes
    3. i use alot of torches cuz of anti-xray mod

    Ur Right! I Walked In The Mining World For 8 Minutes And I Started Mining, I Was Mining In Like 1 Hour And All I Got Was 79 Coal, 32 Iron, 2 Gold!

    But I has lots of diamonds and iron, So I just survive off of that.

    Its not that hard to find it, a better idea would be to refresh the mining world more often so it would be less hard to find these ores

    Why should Deity reset the mining world more often? If people would actually take the time to walk out until they find the edge of the mining world, then start mining about 20-30 blocks in from that edge, they'd have little problems with finding ores.

    It just seems people want all the ores to be right next to the /go mine spawn so they can pretty much have money/materials handed to them instead of actually having to work for them.

    Yeah... I am seriously starting to think that the "there are no ores"people (almost always)= X-ray people
    There is an anti-xray measure that hides ores as stone until a nearby block is interacted with. That means that you cannot see the ores from surface with texturepacks/xraymod.

    There are tons of ores. Tons. I go branch mining at very specific locations and at good levels and get loads of stuff.
    Just came back from a 2 diamond pick/3 stacks of torches mining expedition and got 6 stacks of coal 2.5 stacks of iron, 30ish gold and 15ish diamond.

    So yeah. "/go mine" is approx a 1600X1600 (from -800 ro 800 N/S and E/W) zone if we count a 50 avrg height (factoring in caves) that means that there are 128,000,000 blocks in "/go mine" I am not going to formulate Notch's equation for random ore spawning but I am sure we all get that out of aprox 150 Million blocks there there is -more- than enough ores for everyone :D

    Of course if you dig the first minable block after restricted area.. good luck getting anything...

    yea i agree with mc! I reckon they should maybe reset mining every 2-4 days or something. It would help.

    right after the reset i had a beautiful time finding alot of ore 2 stacks of gold like 12 of iron but anytime after the reset it gets tough almost impossible to find this ammount

    There are more ores, you just need to go WAY farther out of spawn.

    I mean WAY WAY WAY farther. The ores closer to spawn were already discovered.

    BTW, I think the mining world resetted on Monday?

    The mining world was resat last night.

    As another poster said, I also do not mine 1x2 hallways. I do 1x4 and I find coal, iron, diamond, and gold in the places where most have only mined the 1x2 hallways.

    Since the resat last night, I have yet to go underground as I have been mining clay like crazy. I have filled my pack twice with clay. Not to mention sheering sheep and other things that are now available top side.
