I Recently started a project based in the town of Caldera to make racing of the horses, more meaningful and enjoyable.

So I along with help from numerous people, constructed a simple and time consuming track meant for the sole purpose of racing horses.

The Track itself consists of:

- Automatic Starting Gate with Trigger / There are 6 Spots which means 6 Horses per Race.

- 15+ Blocks Wide Track

- Two Small Grand Stands with one (Juan) Large Grand Stand in the Middle for Spectators.

- East Wing holds a Betting Room to register your horse into races.

- East Wing also has a Billboard which holds "Fastest Horse Times", Previous Winners along with numerous different type of race statistics.

- Pub'n'Grill above Betting Room with free food to Racers/Spectators.

- Custom Stables Room on the West Wing where Racers may Prep their Horses before and after Races.

- West Wing also comes with an Anvil for Naming purposes as well as Repairing.

The way this is going to work is simple...

- All participants pay a entry fee which goes together into a Pot.
Entry Fee's are paid in the betting room to whoever is organizer of the races.

- The Entry fee varies depending on the amount of Laps in the race.

- ALL races are WINNER TAKES ALL, which means I or anyone else running the events take no profit.
(Example: Six racers pay 250 Dei = Winner will receive 1,500 Dei from the Pot)

There is no 2nd, 3rd Place prizes as of yet. As of now there isn't a proper way of betting for Spectators (Other than betting on races as individuals among each other) to allow for 2nd and 3rd place finishes/Spectators to get profit.

The Track is not 100% complete and we are constantly adding new features.

Races will take place on the weekends from Friday - Sunday.

Schedules will be released in a week or two.

As of now, anyone may use the track to test the Time Trail or participate in a Wild Card Race which must be organized by people who are in the race. I am not responsible for any scamming or theft during those times.

There is zero tolerance for griefing or theft on the Race Track. Those materials and objects are not yours and were paid, worked and placed for a sole purpose of making the track what it is today.

We have decided to provide custom named / Balanced Horses for anyone to use in a race. We have limited Saddles so please bring your own just in case. This way you will not have to bring your own horse over. If you do bring your own horse over, we have storage for you.​

To Sign up for a certain Race, Inbox "RickyBobby" on ImDeity.com with the Type of Race(s), Times and Dates. Please only sign up to ones you know you can make.

Races will be Organized by either myself or "BethhElaine".

Urgent matters do come up in life and some races might be cancelled. Please be aware of that!

After all Races have been finished for the day, Players may still race in their own races organized by themselves. These races are (like said before) at your own risk, due to theft of Entry Fees, Cheating and Dishonesty. These races are considered WILD CARD RACES due to random Payouts and Fees.

You might need a security team. There is a skeleton in a restricted area (in front of the 'P' in 'Park').

On a serious note, you might need one volunteer who will act as the 'finish line photographer'. There may be cases when participants finish at virtually the same time and a 'photo finish' may be the only to determine the winner. Otherwise, there might be bad blood between players that may last for some time and we wouldn't want that...

 

It would be cool if I was the "Finish Line Photagrapher"!

 

It's good that you're volunteering but remember that the job is not to be taken lightly. The entire outcome of the race, including who brings home the prize money as well as who wins the bets, may entirely depend on your ONE screenshot. Mess up, and the event may have to be repeated.

 

I could take that. My MC freezes whenever I take a screenshot, so I will do it with price precision.

 

Another option is to use some kind of recording software and look at the frame-by-frame from that.

 

The screenshot suggestion is great! If you guys think of anything else, keep 'em coming!

 

gotta agree with dragon, a video is much more accurate compared to trying to perfectly time a screenshot

I may have a recording software available, also i will be putting together a spread sheet which will have when and what time frame each event and race will take place. If not enough people sign up for a certain race, it will be postponed.

Does Caldera have a road connecting to Doha? I ask this because I have some fast horses who I think can take home the gold!

 

I can see a road connecting the two towns on the live map although the part closer to Doha still has some grassy surface.
