    Bows aren't used enough...It's like ppl don't like them.
    Having an even dedicated to just bows will help get the ppl who hate or don't get the chance to use bows a chance to try it out.

    I think archery tournaments would be an excellent idea, and would be easy to set up and participate in. Perhaps, instead of just different ranges of blocks, archers should have to shoot and difficult angles or dodge NPC villages with their arrows. Just to add a Minecraft style interpretation to it.

    I'd like to see this done in the future.

    mmm just thougth of an awesome "target" if this were to ever happen on a server game scale: If deity or van would facilitate it, and if its even possible, we could use the bedrock-fire-glass-purple blob things that heal the dragon in the end (they explode when hit by arrows)

    Heh, i remember this thread.

    However this would not work too well, due to arrows spawning to the top of the block hit in multiplayer (unless this was fixed in 1.3).

    Yeah but eltono if we have where it's just the fact of hitting the block and doing like an elimination round instead of the normal points system archery compotitions use it could be possible. We just need to make some courses and test them out, ya know?

    It might, either fixed or not work with hitting the blocks. However judging a shot is not too hard. Or we could use the boat system which VanZeben used (IDK what plugin it was, or if it's still there...) , which basicly contained a boat as target, which if hit, led to the changing of another block, showing if the target was hit.

    In 1.4 there are wood buttons that can be activated by a bow. Out a redstone current to a torxh and if you hit the button it will light up the torch even if it floats up.
