Well, if we disable spider eyes, no harmful potions at all, and we can have splash potions for what driver said. Also, what's the point of keeping spider eyes, they are useless. Most likely they won't have a use considering mojang said there are going to stop developing minecraft soon, so the possibility of them adding a new use of spider eyes is low. You can also shoot splash potions out of a dispenser, so maybe towns could load up a few dispensers with regen potions to act as a hospital, or maybe speed potions to act as a sort of gym? That could combine my idea with drivers idea about adding town public buildings.

How i see it working: spider eyes are disabled so they dont drop from spider anymore. I am 100% sure that should be easy to do. The remaining spider eyes are then either wiped or collected and deleted, like thorough the gold vault system were when you open a chest, it sucks out spider eyes and deletes them. Or they become like lava buckets and when you throw them on the ground you cannt pick them back up. I like the first one better.

Unobtainable items like magma cream, blaze rods, nether wart etc become sold at the shop for a reasonable price. Whats the point of adding potions just to have no one buy them because a brewing stand costs me 3k? Many people consider potions a neccesity to gameplay, so why would they waste their time getting money when they can just move on to another server and get the items themselves? So making these unobtainable items at a reasonable price is necessary. not to cheap, but chap enough that they aren't only for the uber wealthy.

I think this is a great idea, with a very easy way to implement my ideas. I hope you consider it and i hope it gets added soon!

one thing if they can block the placing of tnt and cauldrons and make them impossible to pick them up why not just block the bad potions as a follower of Guude i would like to ask you Do you know you can eat spider eyes?

Potions? I'm a fan. Course then we need to figure out how to get Sand, warts, blaze rods, etc.

However, if it makes IMDeity do more work, I am all for it.

Could even make potions part of the eternally underpowered craftsman class (amirite?)

Maybe make the placing of brewing stands be only for craftsmen? Other then that I see no other point for it to be a craftsmen only thing.

Wow when was this thread moved into 'Approved Suggestions'? :p

Adding a bit more, creative server has potions, if you try to drink a potion you can, but if you try to throw a splash potion server says you can't, then the blocking system for it is ready.

    Waiting... :3

Well, Blaze Rods are a VERY good replacement, i think they are sold at the DeityShop, so theres basicaly no disavantages by doing this.

Why pay money? You can easily go mining, create a bucket and fill it with lava. No charge whatsoever. I would definitely prefer blaze rods to be disabled. You can not even create a brewing stand.

Yes, sorry. But I totally agree with you. Spider eyes serve as no reward and I absolutely love potions :D

I'm just going to pointlessly put this in but aren't most potions made from materials from the nether, and isn't the nether disabled?
