I plan on taking a high school biology course over this school year. And, using that and the credit from my chemistry course to get into AP Chem, Physics I, or Bio freshmen year. So, which math course is better for those courses?
You should take Geometry before trig. Personally I'd recommend Geometry before Algebra II.
I did a similar thing, taking biology over the summer before my freshman year to take more math classes.
AP Chem and Bio are both extremely difficult courses; Physics I is a lot easier. If your school offers AP Physics Mechanics and E&M those courses will be much more rigorous than AP Physics I. However you likely need to take trig and Algebra II before you can take those courses. For chem you need a pretty good algebra understanding. Biology is what is sometimes called a "soft science," requiring minimal math.
Well, my plan for math is to do either Algebra 2/Trig or Geometry over the summer Algerbra 2/Trig or Geometry Freshmen. Pre-Calc over 2016 summer, and take Calc courses for the rest of HS. The only classes needed for Physics I are Geo or Alegbra 2. And no math for the others, but the college borad recommends Algebra 2 for Chem, which is the class I really want to do.
But, from my experience Chemistry seems to not require much after quadratics and logarithms. And, I had to teach myself them over the summer before I even started Algebra 1. So, I'm wondering how much I'll be at a disadvantage if I take Algebra 2 and AP Chem concurrently freshmen?
