    Hi all, just wanted to share my Hindenburg build submission.

    Its 1:1 scale which amounts to 249 meters long and 45 meters in diameter. It has an interior that matches the original plans a closely as I could. Overall, I've tried to be as historically accurate as I could, but I did take some liberties due to limited information.

    The exterior and interior structure are complete, although the furnishings of many of the interior rooms are not yet done.

    Its moored about 400 meters east of the town of Arael. One of the images below shows its context on the main ImDeity map. Its big enough that its still visible in the full map. You can come see it by teleporting to arael with "/t spawn arael".

    Unfortunately, the limited camera view distance makes getting exterior screen captures of the whole blimp difficult since it crops the far sections out.

    I've attached my original plans along with some of the historical blueprints in case anyone wants to make their own.

    I had originally planned this about 8 months ago. I created a prototype of it in an editor using grey wool as a building material. Here is a link to where I had posted some of the pictures of the prototype taken on my home server. The render distance allowed the whole blimp to be seen here.

    It turns out that wool is flammable. "Oh, the humanity!!!"

    Nice build. I am only a tiny little bit disappointed (the pedant in me!) that the insider staircases appear to be the opposite directions to the ones in the plans, and think you should make the cabins have bunk beds, if that's what the plans are (it looks like it). But those are such teeny tiny things that I'm just being picky, which means it's a great job if that's all I come up with :D

    I really hope that this is a Great Construction submission...?

    For the staircases, yeah, I did go against the blueprints on those. It just seemed to make the boarding area more spacious and had a better feel to put the staircases aligned with the outer hull rather than having them in the center facing out.

    I like the bunk bed suggestion. I will go back at some time when I have more wool and add them in.
