we need more mobs in a better way

if you want a mob pvp arena dont stop chatting about it, post on everything!!!

 

Im acually suprised we dont have one already, ive seen many nice ones on other servers. However, Im sure this server can do WAY better =)

After the Defend the Spawn event we had 11/15/11 it made me think about another event we can have a gaint bedrock level, bedrock box, with little forts and places too defend. And the whole server can join everyone is given Iron armor, Diamond Swords a bow and 1 stack of arrows, and 5 Food items. There would be mob spawner through-out the PvE arena that'd activate when the event started, when all the players have a few moments too ready themselves.

Upon Starting the event mobs spawn people start too die and what they drop is fair game for your use, via armor ammo food. Entil last man standing or after a certain duration the survivors will be teleported too another map for even harder trial vs the mobs. It can be hosted just like the PvP and spleet events and would be alot of fun.

Although this wasnt a starting post i will leave this here for others to grow on and add too since someone started the discussion.

 

MoB Arena for challengers and Tournaments!!!

 

every time you see a person with this capability tell them "hey, can we have a mob pvp arena" after a while they will set enough to think everyone wants it and make one

 

I think every Tuesday around 6:00 PM EST, we should have a giant mob battle. The mobs would spawn outside the castle, while everyone would be inside. They would start with iron swords, iron chestplates, a bow, and 32 arrows. You would have an option to go, instead of just being teleported. It could say:
Mob Army approaching the castle! Defend it for the server!
/accept
/deny
If you use /accept, you get teleported.
If you use /deny, you stay where you are.
You would have 3 minutes to prepare before the fighting starts.
It would be arranged into waves. Every time a new set is spawned, another wave will pass.
There could also be messages saying whats coming next. Examples:
25 endermen are about to be unleashed! Kill them before they teleport!
75 zombies are coming up the West side of the castle! Kill them before they feast on the flesh of your friends!
50 skeletons approaching! Get into cover!
There would also be broken windows and walls; so the mobs could get in. There should also be more paths to the castle, such as cellar doors and ladders.
After 5 waves, armor, weapons, and ammo would be restored.
You could also do something like /go defendsignup to automatically be teleported.

your that guy who thought himself better then the people back during the PvE event lawls to what you said before, besides that.
Very nice idea it'd interpet what I said before but with a better background. Could make a copy of the actual /spawn castle and change it up, to a defend the base type of setting. Although I think if someone dies they drop from the map back to normal world. Last survivors get rewarded after successfully defending the Castle.

 

Ive seen many types of events on other servers like the ones your describing. However on one of the RP servers i've played on, they created this pretty kick azz mob arena with even boss rounds every 10 rounds. Its got challange as well as decent rewards depending on what wave you've reached. Im sure this server can make a even better one or even create an event like the ones you are all describing. Im just saying, a Mob Arena will make people love this server forever. =)

 

it was vary epic but mostly funny the only thing running through my
mind was (where the heck is the TNT) :twisted:

Both are great Ideas Merged they are FANTASTIC put what about instead of mobs, an ARMY OF EVIL NPCs DRESSED AND ARMED LIKE MONGOLS, A HORDE OR 2 that be fun :lol: but its just an idea like anything else

I am a laborer and I need a task to build a couple of grand structures. I would most definitly help build something that looks like a roman colloseum for the use of something like a large scale monster fight event that is held weekly.

We NEED an event of this sort. I went to /mine and only found one sheep. This would be a good way to get together, make friends, and raise stats. For example, i was running around with a random person, and we kept together until the end. This would also help teach people to defend themselves with real mobs, so they know what will get you killed and what wont.
There could also possibly be fires and pits shaped like the ones caused by TNT or creepers. I also thought of some more messages for incoming waves:
10 slimes got into the castle! They must've come out of the basement!(Note: They would spawn in the basement.)
50 zombie pigmen coming! I knew that wasn't a good place for the Nether portal...
The enemy has called upon the help of the giants! Get inside or get crushed!
Possible Titles:
The Enderdragon has come to finish off mankind. You are our last hope...
Blazes have come to set the castle aflame! Use your bow!
Silverfish have been hiding in the castle walls! Take them out quickly!
The last few are VERY unlikely to be added, so you can pretty much say they are a joke.
