Spoutcraft Installation and Info.

Hey everyone, I just would like to bring the attention of the community to the Bukkit developed, Spoutcraft.

Spoutcraft is a highly advanced Minecraft launcher compared to the original Launcher that most people use on a daily basis.

Why download/Use spoutcraft?
Spoutcraft brings a easier way of playing minecraft with:

1. Noticable reduced lag online
2. Comes with automatic updating of patchs, mods and plugins Ex.(Improved Chat)
3. Allows texture packs to run almost perfectly and adds more features that you may have not noticed on the original launcher. Ex. (Misa400 realism, which is my TP, adds a new font in chat which makes it easier to read and never appears on the original launcher.)
4. And so much more.

How to Install you say?

1. First you will want to go to this website ---> http://dev.bukkit.org/client-mods/spoutcraft/

2. You will then look for the "Download automatic updater - Jar - Exe - App"

3. What you want is the "Exe" File, so click that one.

4. Save the file into your documents, run it after its complete. It should look something like this: (Moving it to your desktop screen is recommended for easy access.)

5. Enter in your login information like on the normal Launcher.

6. It will ask you to update, click yes and it will install and update spoutcraft for you at the same time.

7. Once everything is done it should automaticly run for you.

8. Once it loads makes sure you are running the 1.0.0 version for Spoutcraft allowed you to run both 1.0.0 version and the 1.8.1 version.

9. To do this reload spoutcraft but dont log in.

10. Click the options button. Select the "Always use development builds" which is for the 1.0.0 version. For the 1.8.1 version you will click the "Manual Build Selection" then you will be allowed to use the drop screen that says "Select Spoutcraft build", There you will be able to select the 1.8.1 version of the game.

11. Once you have selected the 1.0.0 version of the game, log back in and it should let you join ImDeity Kingdoms Server. If it says you are outdated of some sort, you did not change from 1.8.1 to 1.0.0, Refer to #10 or look on google for further info.

12. For texture packs, you will do the same method as you have done with the original game launcher. All texture packs go into the .minecraft folder not the .spoutcraft folder. (Also be aware that some Texture packs require "MCpatcher" to run.) Search it on google to find out more as this thread isnt based on MCpatcher.

If a new version of minecraft comes out, Spoutcraft may take time to update its own launcher. This is because, like said before, it is more advanced than the original launcher and takes time and hard work to make it the best it possibly can be and free for us users.

Note: The newest version of spoutcraft has a small glitch showing that everyone has the same skin as you. This is somewhat of a illusion and will ware off after being on and off for awhile. (Everything is back to normal for me, confirming that its just an illusion.)
