    Platypus duck? I'm just guessing based on the fact if it laid an egg, and the entire species was wiped off the earth, the egg would still hatch and it would be back. Only mammal I know that lays eggs.

    The answer its humans. Humans are mammals and there are humans on the international space station. So if humans were wiped off the face of the Earth then the humans on the space station would return to Earth.

    should have just said wrong and let me continue to think, and btw the other answers I thought of were darkness and stars (discarded darkness because darkness does not have to be only night and discarded stars because you refered to it in the singular "I" instead of the plural "We"). but anyways nice riddle

    Here's a classic.

    You are for some reason trapped inside a treacherous labyrinth. After wandering for some time, you find a room containing two closed doors and two guards.     Ok i have thought long and hard and i believe the answer is bears.
    1. They are mammals. CHECK
    2. They give birth to live young. CHECK
    3. If wiped of the face of the Earth would return in one year. The way i get this is that bears go into hibernation during the winter. So an entire species of bears is off the face of the Earth(In a cave) at the same time so in an essence they are wiped off the face of the Earth and return within one year because they stop hibernating after the winter. CHECK???

    A mule! A combination of a horse and a donkey! At first I was thinking of something that could "survive", but then I realised it would have to be some sort of hybrid that could be born again... Great riddle!

    New Riddle: Think of words ending in "GRY". AnGRY and hunGRY are two of them. There are only THREE words in the english language. What is the third word? The word is something that everyone uses every day. If you read this riddle carefully, you will find what it is!
