Poll: Art section [ Done ]

I'm throwing my two cents in! I cast my vote as a 'Yes'. We all know that there are plenty of artists of some form or fashion here on ImDeity. Having an actual art section for the forums gives us the chance to show off our talents in our respective craft(s) without cluttering up space in the General Discussions category. Also, I see many people constantly thinking that "Why do we need to have a section just for people who draw/paint/etc?" to which my reply is simple yet somewhat long.

Art is not just about lines, colors, or shades on a piece of paper. Yes, we do have a fair amount of players who are exceptional drawers and possibly painters. What about the others though? As a person who not only draws, but has interests in painting, writing, piano/keyboard as well as guitar, I believe in complete and total freedom of expression. One person can throw all of their being into a drawing while another can only do so by writing a story or by making a custom musical piece. I feel that if we give the players this opportunity we can allow them to have a sense of comfort that there are people just like them in such a place. Also, it might even spur on a newer generation of artists if there are others to help guide them and show them things from a different perspective. Alas, I've said all I really needed to say, but I hope I made an impression. <3

List of what I consider "art":
Drawing - Painting - Writing (poems, stories, etc) - Music (singing, instruments, etc) - Graphics - Building (just look at strydier's work) - Audio/Video (the recording, editing, and publishing of videos) - a few others that I actually can't think of right now.

 

It's 31 January and still not.
