    This is not official
    I want to get a general idea of who want a new map come 1.9
    As you can realize there are hundreds of old dead towns and live ones
    with barley any room for new developments and structures
    i want the players takes on this subject please let me know what you think.

    no. why do it on 1.9 when we can get full game release a month after then do it. personally i think you're insane and impatient. there. i said it.

    A map restart would be fun and all, but as mentioned already, the game's full release will be out within a month or two after 1.9's release. I believe we should wait until then for a fresh map.

    I'd hate to lose everything :( but i think it should be officially and finally reset once the full game is entirely out for sures. otherwise its too early and ppl with go mad.

    Didn't that got announced or something?

    I remember a week or two ago, something about a confirmation from 10+ people saying the same thing....

    Might be just my brain lag, but it was definetly something about 1.9 forced reset.

    I'd love a map reset personally. Doesn't matter for me if it happens on beta 1.9 or after full release... But I just like to see it happen.

    No room to build anything? I see plenty of empty areas around the Live Map.

    Also, admins periodically clear old structures from the map that haven't been touched in a while, clearing up even more land.

    I did some reasearch and looked around for a few hours and it seems that 85% of the servers are resting there maps.im not sure if its mandatory or not but ...

    It's made out of sandstone :oops: . I like the "sand-city" sound better though :p
    It's about 30% complete after about 2 weeks of working on it, right outside of Stalin.

    A map reset shouldn't have anything to do with peoples inventories. Now the items in their chests would be lost because they would be lost with the map reset.

    The best way for a map reset to be done is ImDeity can start a thread for Mayors of towns only to post their specs for their towns. That way he can keep record of what every town is worth and reimburse the mayors what it would cost to get the town back to that size.

    I'm not sure how this would impact towny, but I would believe that it would have to be reset as well since the towns wouldn't exist on the map anymore.
