More ores in the mining world

hey, I've fallen into a hole only once in mining world but that's cuz i wasn't holding shift while looking down, you shouldn't have to fall into holes all the time, hold shift when going near holes and it wont happen plus when you get further away, less to no holes.... and i wasn't even talking directly to you, i was mainly saying that to the people who come on the server everyday, begging for it to be reset...begging every 10-30 mins, its annoying. a mod or admin i cant remember already said that if there was to be a reset, Imdeity would make a big announcement a week before anyways. So there's no need to be a jerk about it. :s

 

I cant go on during the week (Work) so when i do on there is usually nothing there as well i think that there should be two mining spots or reset more often?

 

you know im wondering, are people not seeing ore because of the anti-xray cuz just last night i found 3 stacks of iron, 18 gold, 3 stacks of redstone and 6 stacks of coal, but thats only cuz i put torches down like everywhere its dark.....?

i ventured FAR out. i looked to see if anyone else has been here, there wasnt any signs. a started to dig, fell in a cave, looked around and there was torches NOT placed by me. there didnt seem any other entrance except for the way I came...there were random holes in the cave where it seems like ores were.

 

you just need to keep looking

 

seriously, right now i found a mineshaft that hasnt been discovered so not EVERYTHING is gone, people need to go further from the spawn to find stuff and digging 1x2 holes you're not going to find anything.

 

There are alot of ore's you just need to go for a long period of time and not just dig to bedrock and if you find nothing give up

 

It didn't reset Monday like it normally does. In fact it's been since Saturday before last since it last reset.

Unless I'm mistaken, that's something Deity does manually? And the combination of the shop auction not having ended, the mining world not having reset, and me not having seen him post or be in-game makes me wonder if something's got him busy on his end. *shrug* I have to admit ignorance on the procedure for resetting the mining world, though.

 

I THINK thats the problem. People can just go around with their brightness jacked up to full and evertything seems... empty. but when I walk thru an mined tunnel and placing torches along where I go, I find alot of gold. Ironic.

Question related to this plugin: how long does the map take to dynamically take in the new lighting levels and convert the ores? Its been frustrating waiting for it to change then coming back, and seeing them now changed over to ores.

 

It reset 2 hours ago.

 

The ore is great for a couple days...then poof it s gone. Wish we had consistent resets...maybe even twice a week...Monday and thursdays?

 

600X600 world with weekly reset should do it.

It's alot bigger then 400X400= 16000
600X600= 36000

. 36k blocks to be mined is alot. And that's just the surface level, i think the mining world is big enough with the current configuration.

 

With the mining world being reset every week, I don't think there's a need for more ores. It'd take the thrill out of finding ores away if you came across them constantly.

 

I tried behind the spawn and found stuff VERY fast!

Yeah, found barely anything in the mining world, but i have run into some ores, but it is frustrating.

 

How can you not find stuff, whenver the reset was so short ago.
It's not like the mining world has been farmed dead already.

 

Most people are to lazy to walk far, so ya, you should do the opposite.

 

Be far away from everyone and you'll find ores

 

there are sooooooooo many ores left(and the mining world was just reset on Monday) so i think u need a better mining technique............... :ugeek:
