    Hey! Ok I'm bored... So I screenshotted the items ingame and then photoshopped them onto a little template :) will add a brief description of what each one can be used for.

    Self Explanitory - Half block of "Stone Bricks"

    Self Explanitory - Stairs Block made from "Stone Bricks"

    Stone Bricks - Made up of 4 Smoothstone Blocks.

    Self Explanitory - Half block of house "Bricks"

    Dropped from Enderman - Made enderman look away from you when you hold it

    Rotten Flesh - Dropped by Zombie - Use replenishes food bar with a chance of poisoning it

    Made from cooking Raw Chicken in a furnace

    Melon "Block" - When chopped with sword drops "Melon" fruit. *Others say you can use any tool, but I tested with a sword*

    Obtained from breaking the melon blocks.

    Used to grow melons - found in chests in abandoned mines

    Used to grow pumpkins - found in chests in abandoned mines

    Made from 6 iron ingots (x16) - Places similar to fences.

    Made from 6 blocks of glass (x16) - Places similar to fences.

    Mushroom block (Giant Mushrooms) - Use bonemeal on a regular mushroom to create giant mushrooms.
    * I've found if they are broken with a Pickaxe, they drop random mushrooms.

    Vines - Found growing in the wild. I found some sprawed all over tree's that were in the water? Marshes maybe? - Obtainable by breaking them with shears. They have physics. If you break a block of vine, any attached below disapear. If placed on walls they will "grow" over time and spread.

    A gate for fences - Bit bad on the boundary box... made from 4 sticks and 2 planks. Can't even be triggered by redstone at all.

    Well that's the complete new item inventory for 1.8 so far!

    Note to anyone thinking of using these images
    Whilst the item images are from Minecraft and I do not own the copyright on them. The actual "images" here have been created by me in photoshop so I would appreciate that if you use them anywhere you give me credit - like "Images by X920MikeyB".

    Mushroom blocks are made from a placed mushroom and some bonemeal.. And you do not need a pick for the drops.
    Plus I think you are wrong on the melons. Not sure.

    Seeds are found in abandoned Mining shafts in the chests

    Ender pearls make endermen look away from you when you hold it

    you use bonemeal on regular shrooms to make giant mushrooms

    And melons always drop slices no matter whats used to break them

    I tried killing the mushroom blocks with a sword and wasn't getting any drops... I did it with a pickaxe and got the drops... - Using a sword would be common sense, but aye, it's notch!

    And wrong on the melons in what way? - please tell me and I can edit the post if I am :)

    Yeah, I'm actually "Wowed" by this 1.8 update. Apart from the very obvious bugs and flaws which are kinda annoying, it's actually pretty neat! - Once the common bugs are fixed! Job Done! :)
