    My idea is to have Minecraft races in minecarts where it's 1v1 or 2v2 (Team Racing). Where the winner or winners get a prize when they win e.g. a Diamond, Gold or some Die and losers just get the shame of losing. But I believe there is a way to make carts faster so it wouldn't rely on who started first.

    Two tracks

    Each track splits into small loops and rejoin again and again. The long side of these loops is default and the person in the mine cart can take the short track by flipping a switch (if they can hit it before they pass it)

    Both tracks have the same length and same amount of shortcut opportunities.

    Rig the start button to an observer or into an and circuit.

    This sounds very fun and interesting. I know a way to make a system where you have to press a button to keep going. So it's possible to make, just need some redstone and a lot of powered rails
