There we go, after 100 comments, you satisfied me with this post ^, i also would like to stop arguing, because it's just silly xD.
Were a great community and fights shouldn't break out .
So, have a good time on the server, Deity will decide, it's not up to us. I say just leave it at this and wait :3

When I first posted on this thread, I did not intend for it to turn out the way that it did. I started out with a single purpose: to try to make people understand that doing a major change would have consequences that people were failing to see. However, as the thread progressed I got frustrated, as did Heinz, and it turned into something that I am ashamed to be a part of- a thread where people repeat themselves endlessly without even bothering to actually take into consideration what the other person has said, and taking it personally. Note that this happened on both sides- many questions I asked remained unanswered other than a vague "but its a good idea", and I am not guiltless either- not even close. I have come to understand that the people involved have been incited into a rage that can only be calmed by a cease in argument, and therefore, I will attempt to stop the pointlessness.

I also still believe what I said at the beginning regarding the good points that the main post of this brings up:
"I do think that this server is lacking somewhat in the events area. I, for one, would love an easy way for players to organize their own events. First of all, /go pvp needs a revamp. There should be a way in which you can challenge another player to a 1v1, or even an automated way like /go spleef (that runs taking account for people in war). Also, /go spleef would be great to have again."

I think that this would solve the problem Heinz brought up in his most recent post- the good people at both spleef and PvP have to practice elsewhere. I think that a way for people to improve would increase participation in events and decrease ragequitting. I also do think that a weekly SG event would be completely great as well. However, I have an issue with the idea of ongoing events, because for those to succeed there needs to be a larger player base (and proportionally a larger population of minigame players), so that at any given time there are enough people to make up a good game. A game of SG that only has 6-8 people isn't that great, kind of like a small game of DeityWar when people leave. I think that everything is best in moderation, and so ongoing games only thrive if there is a large enough player base on at most times to keep it running, which, although it might work for this server at a later point in time, will not work in the current state of the server.

I am trying to understand my own past logic (if you can call it that), and I think that I was so against this idea because it is too long-term to be able to accurately predict what will happen. In order for us to have a minigames server, we would have to take steps to get there. If the necessary steps were outlined, then it would be much easier to have discussions about the idea instead of hypothesizing and dreaming about what might be able to happen. However, until that point, there is not a lot of "substantial" things to criticize, and in trying to criticize that, my anger passed onto criticizing the idea itself and to personal hatred, although I had to work to keep a watch on myself to avoid saying something that would have consequences, and for that I apologize. In order for this idea to be able to move forward, there needs to be more specifics about priorities- is the first step creating the new server, making the minigames and integrating them before they get their own server, improving on the weekly events, or something else entirely? I do not pretend to understand where the people who want this idea are coming from, and so I will leave it up to you all to lay out a baseline for Deity, if he so chooses, from which to work.

I hope that this post will help both sides of the bloody battle to assist in shaping the idea into something that fits the server and makes the gameplay of those who play on it enjoyable. Thank you for reading, and have a good day.

All will be answered after PvP when me and Heinz talk to deity. So let's see where fate takes us!

I dont know why people think arguing a point is so bad, if we debate something long enough, eventually one of the parties involved will either get the point, or begin to see something they didnt fully appreciate the first time it was mentioned.

The end result is progress.

As Andy said, i am very glad to see the people who are passionate enough about the server to defend it for all they are worth, and i commend you typo.

No frustration or hostility here.

I just wanted to add, its obvious why jack and gpekic and myself 100 percent agree on most of these things, thats because we spend most days in teamspeak with each other, and we have had plenty of time to go over a lot of this till we came to what we thought was a decent plan.

If you had been there too Typo then you would of helped add to that, which i see you as doing now, only its much harder to grasp each others ideas via text, as i am sure everyone can appreciate. I have spoken with people who also voted no, on teamspeak and one or two of them changed their minds once i had a chance to vocally express myself and argue against certain points without all the reading and posting backwards and forwards xD
