    i said it should be for lvl 2 craftsmen and used to flatten land for towns. a fee of 50-100 dei should be to place it, and a /go command to go to a tnt training course in capitol. if you can only place it with mod approval, it completely eliminates it being used for greifing.

    *Rolls out his smallest list*
    - Causes lag (Massive lag, you've got no idea what a few blocks of tnt did to my brothers 3 player server run from his very good computer)
    - Can be used to grief houses with
    - Can be used to kill people with (landmines)
    - More lag, really you've got no idea what a few blocks of TNT do to the server
    - Multiply that with a number between 60 and 200, as that's the amount of players that are on.
    - Did i mention griefing, and killing people yet?

    The server has an easier time handling 200 players in one block then similar amount of tnt going off.

    Mod approval? Great, why don't we just start a ticket system for that to... Digging= far more easy and TNT isn't a viable flattening tool if you use more then 3 blocks that are quite far apart..

    1. Get a bunch of people together.
    2. Hand them all shovels and pickaxes.
    3. ????
    4. Profit!
    TNT is a pretty inefficient way of clearing anything besides dirt and sand.

    Get multiple people at the same time. We cleared the area for our new spawn for our town in less than 8 hours. It was a mountain about 30-40 blocks high and about 140 blocks wide by 110 blocks deep.

    So it's not a point of making it easier, digging/mining/clearing land is part of mine craft. It's a point of finding the easiest way that already exists to do it.

    And for the point of using it in the mining world to mine? That's useless, you'll waste more time trying to survive your way down into the blast hole to pick up WAY too much cobble, then it would be worth for the little amount of ores you got out of it.

    My opinions on the topic are, forget trying to get TNT enabled don't even try to get it added, better not to have it Enabled, causes to many problems, been on enough servers to know what it can do, might look nice or be handy but just troublesome as it can be used by griefers

    I also like the look of TNT and what would be nice is if you could place the block without detention. I'm not sure but there might be a plugin out there or could be made in order to stop the explosion.

    I think TNT should be enabled too. I'm new to the server and assumed it was when I saw all the creepers. I think lag can be reduced or eliminated with the lagg plugin. I had a server and eliminated the lag caused by multiple explosions.

    Perhaps TNT in certain areas only? Like give towns the ability to allow it? I like the ability to create huge caves using some TNT blasts.

    Or limit it to people who donate.

    I've had a few shots of vodka tonight but no amount of alcohol will make me dumb enough to enable it. Way too much potential for abuse and even if the lag situation was remedied, I still wouldn't consider it. Way too many negatives, too few positives.

    TNT can only be used for greifing and mining, if you enabled it fully then the server would erupt in chaos. If you used something like the precious stones plugin (city protection stone) for the whole main world (not the mining world) it could work.
