    If you clicked on a link in the home pages recent forum threads section, then the most recent post is at the end of this thread. The page numbers above let you click to the latest page, from there scroll down to the last post entered.

    Carpets CAN be placed on top of water.
    Place a carpet on the shoreline next to the waters edge.
    [IMG]
    Now place a carpet on the edge of the already placed carpet.
    [IMG]

    Continue out over the ocean. and break away the shoreline carpets or not.
    [IMG]
    Carpets can be placed on top of almost every block in MineCraft. Try using signs under carpets to do some interesting patterns;
    [IMG]
    even works pretty good for the borders on my game table;

    Please post more (Did you know) gameplay strategies or techniques.

    Anything goes, like do you have tricks you do with pets? Horses? Furniture, hidden stairwells. water climbing, lava placements, mob control methods - I laugh when I see people running scared. HA. crop construction has many methods, sure could use some in this thread. ;) and anything you come up with that you think is a ( Did you know ) worthy post or would help new people.

    You can place blocks on the side of a torch by hovering over the torch until you see the grid box.

    Right-click on the side of the torch grid box with a block in your hand, and it will place the block to the side of the torch! This tip is very helpful for crossing lava pools and saving resources.

    You can place carpets on top of Redstone, so that's an amazing solution for covering up the spider webs that I tend to create :)

    I’ve been using this trick for sometime now. It’s kept my personal items safe. Exepct this trick is kinda common so the chances of your chest being safe is 50 50. A add on to Sheep’s trick is if you put a lever in the lava(which wont burn) and then connect that to some pistons that open up a hole in the lava where your lava-buried chest will be. That would be more efficient.

    Did you know this only happens if you have Graphics: Fast set under Video Settings? Graphics: Fancy and the sides of the grass blocks change as well.

    Heads can be made to look as though they are on top of a cactus in a flower pot;

    [IMG]

    But.. - No, you can't just place a head on top of the cactus in a flower pot.. soo... take away the flower pot and place a block, then place a head on that block;

    [IMG]

    Now break the block and place the flower pot, and put a cactus in it. :)

    You can also just place the head on the wall. No need to break the block underneath it.

    If you did that, it'd look like the creeper's head wasn't on.
