    I was. 2d Radio Bn @ Lejeune for four years, attached to the 26th MEU. Signals Intelligence and Arabic linguist. Spent a lot of time with 2d LAR Bn.

    I was an 0341. Got cross trained as an 0311 once I got to 3/1 from D.C.. Crazy thing is I rarely did anything pertaining to mortars for most of my time in.

    I did get to play with lots of C-4 and PETN though!

    Yes, I remember the Wish List they ask for when you sign up. Such a gimmick. I made sure my B Billet for Security Forces was in my contract. Didn't want to end up a cook.

    Little did I know that I'd only get half of it after school (which was a two year school), an the other half equally spread out over the following 12 months.
