Cuboids offer a variety of functions, whether it be placing blocks faster or easier.

Here are some other useful threads:

    Paint Mode
Paint Mode allows easier block placing. If used well, you can create ponds and patterns with ease. Watch this video to see how simple it is: (There's no sound)

    /z place
/place was old command in Classic that placed a block under your feet. /z place does the same thing. Watch this video to see how I easily make a floating well-thing: (There's no sound)

    Cuboids
Cuboids require that you place or break two blocks. This video shows the different types of cuboids and how to use them

Feel free to post your own tips about Creative! (not creative mode)

Could someone elaborate on Paint Mode? Like... how to turn it on? I just built a 32 X 32 structure in creative that was probably also 64 blocks high and this would have probably saved me an entire day.

There is a video explaining in detail how it works. Not sure how much more he could elaborate on it.

It wouldn't matter though since if the addition of the cuboid commands was implemented as discussed you can't use them until you get your Rank 3 (64x64) plot.

Some of the commands only modify one block at a time (/z place, /z paint) therefore anyone could use them. I'm open to discussion about whether that should change though

Aha! Now I see it. I missed the text at the top of the video because my mouse was hovering over the video, which caused a menu bar to appear at the top of the video, which blocked the text. Moron filter disabled. Thanks.

I seem to be limited to changing only 1 block at a time with this. The error message says 'cuboid stopped. you tried to cuboid more than your limit (1), 1 block changed'

I need to bust out of this 1 block limit if it is to be of any use. Any tips or suggestions?

Hmm I'm pretty sure you need to rank up or something but I'm not positive.
[Edit: It is the level plot you have that decides what your cuboid limit is. Just looked it up :)]

You don't gain any extras with the cuboid until you reach rank 3 and it raises to 250 blocks.

I haven't used Cubiod as of yet, however I really do think that people who are ranked 5+ should be given permission to use the /brush command from WorldEdit. The maximum brush size is 5 and it is really useful for doing large-scale terraforming (making hills and valleys), and after flying around the Architect plots I really do see a need for it, terraforming goes a long way when it comes to building larger structures, I don't think I've ever seen a Cathedral or medieval town, on a big chunk of flat land, the brush tool is really powerful and can be used as the whole build itself, and whilst it does seem like cheating, just using a command to place chunks of blocks, it is actually quite a difficult skill to master.
