Can't chat by switching channels

    Today and a few days ago, i have experienced typing glitch were i cant chat by using one channel such as /ch l. I asked in /h and got no results, here are some pics of the glitch.
    [​IMG] i switch to local [​IMG] look there and you sill see a message Cannot send chat message

    Do you have any client side mods installed? Try uninstalling those or resetting the minecraft.jar.

    I have been experiencing some Chat Lag on Deity, but it shows up after a while after a period of no response and everyone is running around fine.

    Is this only the case with /ch local or /ch global? As in do /l [message] or /g [message] still work?

    I have that as well but only when I will reach the end of proxy error.

    I have optifine it only affects when I do /ch , not when I do /l for example
    EDIT: I have not have this problem with optifine in the past, this started around a week ago and effects me on all worlds, I couldn't char during pvp because there is no /g or l

    You should've been able to chat, as there is only one chat channel (minecraft default). If you haven't tried Deity's suggestion of resetting your minecraft.jar, I would recommend doing that and seeing if the problem gets fixed that way. If the problem still persists and someone isn't able to help you, I will try to find someone/something that can.
