Archery Tournament

    Hello ImDeity Community,

    Do you feel like a lone wolf?
    Do you feel like you as archer are not getting enough action?
    Do you feel like the server is not acknowledging your pinpoint-accuracy superiority over those pesky sword-users?

    I have the solution for you.
    A 2 part archery event!

    Part 1:
    The players are aligned and put in a box where they can fire from, and need to take 2 shots at 5 targets.

    Target 1: 25 blocks
    Target 2: 40 blocks
    Target 3: 60 blocks
    Target 4: 80 blocks
    Target 5: 100 blocks

    The target will consist of a 4x4 target with 3 layers:
    1x1 layer= yellow
    3x3 layer= red
    5x5 layer= light-blue/blue

    If the contest is divided in 2 different disciplines ,the top 3 of these rounds will be awarded with the "Marksman" Prizes (yet to be determined)

    Part 2:
    All the players, or the top half of the first round goes to the battles: archers are put in a naturally-formed arena and need to eliminate each other in a 1v1 or 1v1v1v1 .
    Rounds continue till the top 4 is put in a 1v1v1v1 or two 1v1's to determine the best "Combat-archers"

    As this is just a short intro to see if people are intrested I will add more later.

    I'd love an archery tournament. I'm pretty good with a bow, but most of the time, mainly in pvp, there is not much room in those tiny arenas to snipe somebody coming from the other end.

    I'd surely join an archery event, I'm good with the bow and shot moving mobs from various distances.

    Tho, I don't know if the second part would be possible, I've played on different servers and never saw who could successfully pvp someone with a bow due lag and connection issues.

    Bigger arenas. Easy ;)

    By making the long arena's I intend for this idea, lag becomes less of a factor, as long shots are a bit easier to aim, seeing you don't need to adjust your aim for every single movement.

    I like the idea. For the arena's, you can make them like paintball arena's are built. It is enclosed, but you can still move around and have places to hide behind.

    Yes, or something like that.

    I actually remember the special boat-targets that VanZeben made :p, it's a shame we didn't decide to use the house-tower shooting-position tough.

    No mods tough;), but VanZeben once did something (as I wrote above) with a boat that actually worked trough some weird system aswell.

    cool i am a great bowmen so this is great for me and some friends!:)plus mine craft archery is easy. you might even be able to charge people for archery lessons!
