OH! I really hope to be able to use sticky pistons! I love making hidden and creative entrances to places with these! I once made a 22-piston cascading hidden entrance, it looked cool to watch it open and close haha.

There are some good applications to the pistons, but I just don`t think it is worth all the lag and griefing.

It sounds like you could do the same thing with the regular pistons we already have. Place a piston on the other side of the persons house and pump blocks into their house until it pushes out the block you want on the other side.

I hope this doesn't give anyone any bad ideas...

No because you couldn't push enough of them to push them completely off.

Sticky Pistons would be another advantage for Laborers, and while I like the idea.
Maybe the Mall should be fixed first :)

I love the idea of sticky pistons! If you can't use them in the normal world at least be able to use them in the creative world. I like to experiment with them and make little contraptions.

I understand that we need to keep the redstone circuits from getting too crazy for server lag, but sticky pistons are like milk to redstone's cookie. I am an avid contraption builder, and I think that sticky pistons can be allowed for usage under a set of guidelines that would really improve the gameplay experience. I do everything with sticky pistons, and many of my circuits will actually have to be more complex without the use of pistons to manually break circuits. I personally want to see them implemented and I see no reason why this request can't become a reality and even be worked into the builder class abilities to enhance the class. Let the builders perform with their full potential by giving us more tools to do so.

now with the return of sticky pistons, the problem of sand and gravel generators arises. these are cleaver machines that duplicate these two blocks into multiple blocks. this is another way hey destroy kingdoms, they could mess up the prices of sand and gravel (sand being a huge want for glass). these are my thoughts.

If it tooks for example rank 3 crafter to use them, getting that rank would take ages, so I think people would not risk a ban to do illegal things with them.

i think it would be a great idea to allow them, seriously, i cant build any decent hidden doors with normal pistons. well, ok i can, but it costs a lot...

Yes you CAN BUILD decent hidden doors with normal pistons. Just a lot harder.

I built one at my house.

The main issue with them is that they allow griefing, people have been known (on other servers) to place sticky pistons and use them to steal from plots

But think of this, At the moment, placing one piston... ONE, is 150 dei. Imagine what the price of placing a sticky piston would be.

I'm indifferent. Just about anything that sticky pistons can be used for has an alternative (though slightly more cumbersome) solution. They're simply a convenience in my eyes. If they're there then i'll use them, if not then i'll be alright

Well, there are certain things that are really hard to do without them... Elevators are pretty hard to make. Also piston doors take 5-6 times as much space for circuitry, depending on the design. There are also certain logic circuits where having sticky pistons is useful to break connections and reconect by moving a conducting block, this can also be done with pistons, but again tedious.

And there are cases where you CANT do things with pistons. Like make an unindented secret door (door that's part of a perfectly flat wall).

Sticky pistons would help, but they should have restricted access, such as certain level laborers, and should cost a lot to prevent mass buying sprees, and griefing.

Agree high level laborer, disagree on high cost.
