Free speech, if you live in the US amongst a few other countries, means that the government cannot censor you. Private entities however don't have to put up with it :)
good point, i should have worded that better, but what i meant was that people shouldn't put down people for their opinions, whether you're an class-a by the book SJW or a old southern trump supporter
actually reading your comment again that is pretty sick thinking, are you suggesting that its ok for a person to silence others because of their opinions?
It's not a matter of what their opinion is, just the subject matter. As an example: Here. No political, religious or other subject discussions that could be deemed offensive are allowed. It's not that your opinion doesn't matter, it's just not needed on specific subjects in this specific community.
just talking about modern society i guess? pretty simple, like i said, putting people down for their opinions and censoring whatever you don't agree with is wrong
theirs a difference between disagreeing with someone and assuming that your opinion is the end-all, and thinking that anyone who disagrees with you is a bad person
Just because it's their opinion doesn't mean you have to respect it. If their opinion is proven wrong or based upon false/fake information and yet they still try to push it on others, then they are free game.
Just because you don't agree with their opinion doesn't mean you can disrespect the person whose it is :). That just makes you a bad person, regardless of whose opinion is "right or wrong". I think that's the whole point of Melvin's post, Vershy.
