Hopefully they gave you good pain meds, stay on top of taking those and things such as protein shakes will be your best friend for a week or so. Broth-y soups and overcooked noodles as well. Stay hydrated and hope ya feel better c:
Can't swallow pills actually, so I've been touching out the pain. And apple sauce has been my best friend so far, but it's now the second day in and I have a chipmunk face. And thanks. C:
There are some pills that you can't crush, so I recommend calling your pharmacy, however I have an issue where I can't swallow pills as well so I was proactive and asked for liquid. However since you have pills you can crush the pill and mix it with the applesauce and eat it or mix it with a drink to kill the pain. If it's a capsule, you can open it up and put the contents in a drink or applesauce.
If you side with mixing it with a drink, a sprite would be best as it's caffeine free and won't conflict with the medicine and the carbonation helps mix the medicine
If you still can't take it, however, you can probably call the doctors office to get a liquid prescription. They gave me liquid hydrocodone with acetaminophen
:D Thanks Qazz, ended up getting a liquid prescription, not sure what it's called but it helps a bit with the swelling of my mouth. Still Mr. Chipmunk at the moment though.
