This is your profile page, that, currently, anyone can see by simply clicking your icon on your forum posts. If you wish, you can change it so only those whom you follow can see it.
No, i meant, how did he start the conversation. i dont mind him seeing my profile. i wanted to know how to talk with other people through their profile.
You can either search their name using the search bar and click on their name on a thread that they've posted on or, if their name is on the right of the homepage (meaning they've posted a status recently) you can click on their name there and on the pop-up to get to their profile.
