Mixed feelings about those games... I'm an old school trainer, seeing Charizard and other old Pokemon change after so much time hurts my heart, but the tentation to try...
but from my timezones perspective it comes out in...6 hours, but ill have to get it later in the afternoon, i swear if they are out of stock from all the pre-orders >.<
I'm with you Melvin. If I could chose any starter in a Pokemon videogame, I'd buy a 3DS just for it, get a Charmander, and kick everyone with Charizard's Flamethrower like in the nineties.
I would have got that if I didn't find pretty... ugly xD Just my opinion of course ;) and I'm not sure when I will get the game so anyway i have time go look at it in first person and get some prices for used 3DS. I actually hope it will look better than the photo, because the price is really good, the game costs half the console lol
I think it looks alright. And the colour I chose matched the game too (I got the white/red one and have Y). It's pretty square, being approx 6inX6in, but it fits quite nicely in my hands I reckon.
Its shape scared me also xD Well, I looked up some info and new pokemon, and I feel mixed things, I'd love to beat up butts with a Charizard but some new pokemon are just ugly.. And again, I don't like any new starter's evolution like in generation 5... I will have to look up some gameplay later, think a lot, and decide.
That is true, but you don't have to limit yourself to just Gen 6. In X and Y they are bringing back the "Gotta catch 'em all" slogan and making it very literal. You can literally catch nearly every Pokemon in these games, apparently. And there are some major improvements in gameplay compared to past titles. From what I've seen so far, they've done everything right.
omg you will not belive the joy im having in this game, i caught a pokemon thats only available at night and i didnt even know it was in the game, and i customized my character and he looks fine as duck
just go to the 3ds menu thing with all the apps and there will be an orangish ":)" at the top, look on your card once you click it and itll show your friend code
Well, I found a good reason to not buy a 2DS; I saw it today on sale for 129 euros (a crazy 177 USD, even more crazy 208 NZD), and a normal 3DS for only 30 more euros, standing at 169 (232 USD, 273 NZD) soo yeah, the price difference isn't really appealing here...
So, I gave up. Got Y and a black-blue 2DS today with a cool discount. I wanted a 3DS, but the only normal one (not XL) was... pink. Anyway I can say I'm satisfied of it after 6 hours of playing :P
ROFL my friend got X with the red-white DS, get that :D
Anyway, that game is just... wow, the grafics are incredible, fights are incredible with all those animations, and having a Charmeleon again and kicking new pokemon with him, it's just... wow.
