I am a idiot, but here I go. This is my theory, BTW. 2D is a non-3 dimensianal object with more edges and textures. 1D is I guess the same, but it does not have a texture and only is a piece of matter. Did I get it right?!

1D Is 100% flat while 3D pops out of the screen and makes you feel actually inside the movie/game. 3D Is not flat, it has actual Depth.

Let me say this in terms you might understand, 1D is most easily related too as a line. While 2D is like a plane. 3D however has the dimensions of heighth, width, and depth.

1D is a single point in space. 2D are 2 points in space that form a plane. This usually has an X and Y axis. 3D are 3 points in space that have an X, Y, and Z axis and is space as how we perceive it. 4D is 3D space, but at different times. Being able to manipulate 4D is believed to enable time travel.
