New wait time for /t spawn tele

Who cares, this is being discussed at such ridiculous length, I've hardly even noticed the difference. There's ups and downs to everything, plus someone has already said it's a problem with the code for the mouse movement = Cancellation of tp. Let the Dev's and Mod's do their good work and all us peons get back into the mines!

 

if you dont care then why post? I am not a peon and i believe ive earned the right to semi-politely express my opinion about new features, im sure the devs dont mind hearing peoples displeasures in an organized fashion. I dont pvp in any game so im used to being penalized for things that dont effect me but prefer not to be

 

Luckily I never said anything about the new implementation sucking or rocking, I'm indifferent. I don't PVP and I don't jump off cliffs, fight huge mobs or decide to drown myself. (which before you could've saved yourself from with the earlier instant tp) Therefore it doesn't affect me at all. Realistically this change is probably boiled down to PVP complaints.

My referral to everyone being "peons" was a joke. Not an insult to you or anyone else.

Actually earlier I posted that I did not mind the change too much. With that said, I think that is positive feedback on the implementation. I don't need to write a novel explaining how I felt about the change. I think that the push for more sustainable information should be thrown on negative comments, which "BTarb24" has nicely laid out in a simple format.

 

im experiencing that i cant even trun maybe make you able to move 1 block to fix this but when i want to tp i really need to get my hands of my keyboard and mouse because otherwise it cancels it

 

I like this. In my opinion I would like to see it reduced to 3 seconds.

 

I like this addition. You can no longer just tp out when you're about to die. Adds a bit of danger to mining.

 

I say keep the wait timer... i mean hell, extend it... makes it a challange when monsters are after you... but certainly try to make it so players can move while the timer is counting... that may people aren't sitting ducks while waiting for the teleport.

 

waiting an entire 5 seconds has killed me a numerous amount of time. when trying to escape a mob attack, i tend to like to teleport away, it was a great deal, i dont die, i leave the mob sitting there bamboozled.... now, i try tp away and i am getting hit and it counts as me moving because they hit me and i "jump." i would like to propose a new 3 second teleport time. it will save alot of frustration. these are my thoughts.

 

The 5 second timer is used to keep people from combat teleporting. I don't like when you just move your mouse it cancels the teleportation, but it has reasons behind it's purpose. If it didn't solve some problems, it wouldn't have been implemented into the server.

 

I personally think that the part when you stand still for 5 seconds is annoying, but I think it is supposed to also act as a switch of some sort. However, that part should be replaced with a cancelling command.

 

Yeah, and it gets really annoying when you have just payed with the /t spawn command, and the someone bumps you, and you just wasted 5 dei. Maybe there could be a way of delaying the payment until you actually DO teleport.

 

Not just that, it prevents people from not dying at an annoying location if they fall into lava or smthn, people can just easily save themselves that way. This is against the low/medium level survival feeling this server has.

 

I hate the wait time! As an assistant of anvil i'm always teleporting (it's free for assistants) to town spawn as we are needed at 10 different places at one given time. I think their should be a delay with town peasants but not with assistants.

 

i just wish that you cold infinetly do /home and /sethome
also i dont know do we have /tpa if not we need it

 

Well, again, the problem of some exploiting to escape lava or other hazards...

Well, if you can infinatly do "/home" or"/sethome", what incentive is there to become a donor?

 

You could give them some other gift such as self repairing armor, chainmail, full diamond for life idk i just need that beacuase i live very far out

 

Well, chain-mail I believe is no longer used as armor, and self-repairing armor or unlimited diamonds kinda defeat the fun of the game. However, while i also want unlimited use of "/home" the server would probably no longer be able to run if we were able to do that.
