The title says it all. I'll be trying out some different ideas in creative and probably posting pictures here. Feel free to use some of the things you see but if you use whole structures (that may include the things inside as well) then please give credit where credit is due. If you improve on my designs, mail them to me or post them here! I'd love to see them! :) EDIT: There are more designs posted throughout the forum. I will try to list the pages the photos are located on here. There are currently builds on all pages.
    1. Pages 2-3: The beginning of what was the library I built in Cynosure.
    2. Page 4: The castle I'm working on in creative on single player.
    3. Page 5: The house I built for my brother featuring dormers! Something I'd never done before. As well as an art deco house inspired by a beach house.

Georgian Era Homes. I was watching Sense and Sensibility earlier in the week and I'm in love with Jane Austen's books. I wanted to build a small recreation of some London homes with a few colorful ideas and a bit of my own twists. The middle grey one was the first and is the only one that was decorated on the inside. In reality, if used in a town I would have split the houses in two so each would have an entrance on each end. I had fun building these and would love to incorporate them into my town life somehow or other. There are plenty of pictures though there were 81 total I only posted a few. Enjoy!

I'm pretty sure that Steph meant creative. Anyways I like the overall design, but the interior stands out more to me. Nicely made.

Like your interiors better then your exteriors, your texturepack is kinda a big change from default, can't tell which materials are in it:S

Seems to me like the outside is:
    Upper left corner Lapis Lazuli.
    Middle upper: Stone
Upper right corner: Red stone brick (clay infused stone)
    Bottom right: Sandstone
    Bottom middle: Stone Brick
    Bottom left: Obsidian!
Overall looks interesting, but tbh I don't like the interior. Too kozy for me.

There aren't enough different blocks to make me happy with the exteriors either but I did what I could. I like my brick and sandstone the most from the outside. Texture pack is Doku. I'm making a list of what blocks I used and will post it soon.

I do tend to build cozy homes. I tend to work from the outside in making the building first and then filling it. I'm going to start working with large homes soon though. But I generally make smaller ones. Upper left was just light blue wool. Middle upper was light grey wool. Bottom middle are stone slabs.

Thank you so much! I do like the interior more than the exterior. I really like my kitchen and the third floor's floor. I used Doku Light's crafting tables for it. It was a pain to put down because you have to used a different block. If you right click to put down another crafting table it would open the table. -_- It was so annoying. lol

Well, these were done in the creative world (/creative to get there then /creative claim to get a plot), but if you want one in the regular world that's griever-protected, you'll be wanting to join a town - town plots aren't quite as big as creative plots, but they're still a good size, and they are protected.

I really like your building style and was wondering if you have a town and if not would be interested in shaping a new town?

Yep, the best advice to give you would be to join a town. Protected land is a great value.

Thank you so much for the compliment. I'm currently in a town. I live in BuenaVista. It's wonderful and I live in the best district whatever Derek might have to say about it! :p Tree District for the win! Starting a new town is costly and though it would be nice, I'm not up to the task at the moment but if I do decide to start a town in the future. I shall let you know! :)

I'm so glad that you've gotten some ideas! Please post pictures here when you're done. I'd love to get a look at them. :)

I believe Ace was asking because he's starting a town, and was hoping to recruit you as a builder for it, heh.

This is a large Tudor home that I've been working on in creative on Single player. It started with the hearth mainly. I just wanted to see what it would look like and then I expanded the home around the hearth. The idea for the hearth came from one of my favorite Miyazaki films, Laputa: Castle in the Sky. <3 Anywho, enjoy.

    Block used:
    Outdoor Lamps- Fence, Glowstone, trapdoors
    Front walkway- Sandstone
    Fountain- Wooden stairs, sandstone slabs.
    Lower floor-Cobblestone
    Middle floor-White wool
    Top floor- Sandstone
    Wooden accents- light wood
    Roof-Wooden planks
    Chimney-Bricks
    Inner floor-Cobblestone
    Living room consists of: Stairs as chairs with signs as arm rests, purple wool decorative carpet; stairs, doors, and trapdoors as cabinet space;
wooden planks and slabs for back shelf; pistons for table and paintings for table skirt; wooden fence and pressure plate for accent table; wooden fence for coat rack.
Dining area consists of: pink wool and torches for chandelier; wooden stairs, fence, and pressure plates for table, red wool for accent rug.
Hearth-Clay bricks, wooden stairs, iron bars, pistons, cake, brewing stand, cauldron, nether brick for fire, torches, and four furnace.
The rest of the blocks used are simply repeats. The desk up stairs is made of fence, pressure plates, and two trapdoors. Sofas are made from colored wool and stone slabs. There's a juke box on either side of the light green sofa, and glowstone is used for light.
    I enjoyed making this one. It was tons of fun. Hope you all enjoy it as well. 2012-02-04_16.32.29.png 2012-02-04_16.32.39.png 2012-02-04_16.32.49.png 2012-02-04_16.32.59.png 2012-02-04_16.33.05.png 2012-02-04_16.33.13.png 2012-02-04_16.33.24.png 2012-02-04_16.33.30.png 2012-02-04_16.33.38.png 2012-02-04_16.33.44.png

I sure love an authentic good old house. I'd almost give you a ribbon for it except it doesn't have the 'no-life factor' ;)
