Parkour Event

I've played servers where they offer small parkour courses at spawn, or where other players build them for you to try out. If you don't know what parkour is, its just basically fancy jumping (in minecraft's case, jumping at weird angles, onto ladders, or performing long jumps). I think there should be a parkour event held at spawn or some other neutral place, where the winners get prizes, similar to the spleef or PvP events.

 

This sounds like a cool idea. It would be like an obstacle course tournament. We'd have to devise a way to control scoring. Either it would be some sort of plugin, or maybe a pressure plate that drops gold from a dispenser. <-- This combined with a system that removes the player from the dispenser area as soon as he or she has taken one "serving" of the prize.

 

I love this Idea! But maybe if it doesn't get recognized would you like to buy a parkour obstacle course with me? I really like this idea!

I'm not so great with the dispencer/redstone scoring system and such. That's why I threw this out there to see if any admin or pro could help me! Nice dragons btw

 

this sounds like a fun idea, im always looking for viable ideas, since i hate pvp in most games especially this. So far we have spleef in BuenaVista, thinking up a few other things that arent quite active but i think im going to make one of these for sure. Thanks for the idea, ill be sure to invite you if we have an event.

im a pretty boring builder myself, i had some decent ideas after i read your post. i have my own district and plenty of dei so i can get plenty of space for it, ill search online for what people already do with it but i figure any obstacle course and reward the winner would boost morale some

 

after further review i have little interest in your parkour thing, ive seen it on tv before though entertaining but i find it to be kind odd. however you inspired me to make an obstacle course and i thank you for that. get with me with what making your think would require though, i might consider giving you some room for it though i am foreseeing it taking up a little too much room

 

it is a good idea to make it but there are already a lot of those in some towns
maybe if you make one that is VERY good and you show deity he can place it somewhere
but i doubt it

 

I'm a proud resident of Galaxy, we are still in the early building stages, so it'll be a couple days before we actually start working on other projects but i'm sure you'd make a great addition to the town, if you want ill message you on the forums when recruiting is open.

Great but if you do choose to come to Galaxy when recruiting is open, be sure your ready to stay because we don't want drop outs!
