so, i put 64 wool up onto auction, i guess i didnt read before i did /yes and it turned the stack orange ( it was basic white)...so i tried another stack with 35:0 as someone suggested and every time i went to auction it, it always wanted me to confirm orange?

can i trade this orange stack for my normal wool back?
and how do i auction just normal white wool?

try running a short test auction with someone and see if they actually GET white wool or if its just a glitch in the programming.

Well, here's the funny thing about wool. Every single color has the same block ID, it's just some sub-property of that block ID that designates color. That's why any type of wool, no matter the color, with still make bed, and paintings. Auctions don't have a function to recognize the sub-property, so I guess it compensates by randomizing the color.

No, it's not true that is compensates by randomizing, it definitely uses the "sub-property." If you have only white wool in your inventory and try to put 35:12 up for auction, it will not work. If you have 35:12 in your inventory, you can only list 35:12 for auction.

And auctions appear to work fine for all forms of logs, and the different forms of stone bricks.

It's apparently a bug, not it compensating.

And I just had it happen to me, holding only 64 white wool, but it up for auction, it came up as Orange wool.

If I try to auction any specific color besides white, it works correctly. So if I try 35:1 it's the right color, but if I do 35 or 35:0 it wants to auction orange instead of white.
