Hey ImDeity Kingdoms, Hows it going?

I'm sure some of you guys and girls out there in the server have dug a mine quarry in the minecraft earth. If so, how big was, how deep did you make it? And, did you find any good ores (if you did congrats).

This is the quarry I'm currently working on, its a chunk quarry so its 16*16, and it's going to go all the way down to bedrock. I have found coal in it a few times, but nothing else yet but stone, gravel, and dirt. This screenshot was taken earlier in the day on August 11th, 2016. But by the time you read this its either deeper or completed. But I have more than just quarry plans for this little quarry project. And I lost track of how many picks I've gone through lol :p.

PS: Those Spruce wood doors lead to my operating base for emptying my inventory. Also this is an extreme hills biome, and I started at over level 100, and right now I'm done to like 85 or something. But soon it will be deeper :D.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, I hope to see awesome quarrys sometime in the future. Adios ImDeity Kingdoms.

An interesting way to mine - do you not think strip mining is a more efficient way to find ores?

Are you digging this quarry in the Main world or in the mining world? The Main world (where the towns are) has no ores but coal.

To find ores you have to use the command /mine, which will take you to the mining world.

Driver, I believe this is either in a single place world, or it is in the mining world, seeing as how I have seen him in list as in the mining world and he is apparently an older player.

I've dug out a few quarrys like this in Mine. Some in desert biomes, some in other areas. I usually do this if I am in need of a lot of sand/sandstone/stone.
I have done 20x20 or 25x25 areas, all the way down to bedrock.

Nice CilJaW. And no I'm not mining in the main world, this is in the mining world. I said coal only because I really haven't found anything else yet, but for better ores I just have to get deeper, which will happen over time. And I started at the top of this mountain, so it is taking some time. But yes I know that the main world doesn't have any ores. Plus the main world rarely resets, so I always do large mining in the mining world. because it gets reset regularly. And also, I know strip mining would be a better plan to get ores, but I've never really dug and finished a qaurry, so I'm doing it now. I just hope the mining world doesn't reset before I'm finished. And once I get to the bottom, I'm thinking of mining 16*16 in 4 directions, North, East, West, and South. Yes, this is probably stupid and senseless, but its something to do in down time, because the more I mine, the more resources I can possibly get. Anyway thank you for your responses, I was happy to answer them lol. Adios

I usually get my stone as a byproduct of mining for other stuff. I just dig tunnels at 15-20 blocks. But I have made similar quarries for getting sandstone and sand.

    I like digging. It's relaxing.

I don't like creepers. They are not relaxing.
