Goodbye, I guess

Hello, and yes, I am going to be departing from ImDeity. I guess I need some legitimate reasons for leaving, so i'll just leave a few; first off, With 8th grade coming along, I wont have much time if any to play. Secondly are my grades. I'm going to be completely honest here, and i'm just going to say that all throughout middle school/junior high, my grades have been absolutely terrible. Whether it be that i'm not taking it seriously, or not even attempting to study for tests, doing homework, and so on. I firmly believe that I have been spending too much time on this server, and that I need to leave, or at least take a long break.

The reason why I wanted to play here in the first place is honestly because I didn't have many friends. I didn't mind at the time, but looking back, I now realize that that is why I wanted a server to play on. I guess I still don't have many friends, but the amount of friendly people on here is extraordinary, and I am so glad that I have had a chance to make friends on here. I am what some consider an outcast, one who doesn't play football, one who is perfectly happy with not having the latest and greatest iPhone-whatever. What I guess i'm trying to say is that i am more comfortable and accepted here than in real life, which i guess is the same with everyone, oh well.

As for Band, I do plan to go on to marching band next year in high school, but the same goes for this, I am currently in the lowest preforming band in my school, which i don't entirely mind the fact, but it does mean that i get the occasional joke and such.

I think im rambling at this point, oh well. I guess i'll wrap this up. This server is the best one out there. I don't care what others say. Everyone is friendly, accepting, and nobody is rude, aside from the occasional troller. On that note, I guess this is goodbye, again.

 

Sad to see you go Bran, but I'm sure you'll be back. Devoted players have a way of finding their way back eventually. A lot of us will be here to greet you when you decide to return, and until then I wish you the best. Have fun

 

Aww I'm going to miss you so much Bran but goodluck with school and if you ever feel like you don't have many friends just remember you will always have us if you choose to return too.

 

Bran, life is more important than games. Although i am sad to see one of coolest youngsters leaving, your reasons make me sure that it will be better for your life at this point. We are always ready to welcome you back.

 

I cannot top what everyone else has said, take good care of your life outside of Minecraft, and this isnt goodbye, just a farewell until you come back to say hi.

Just because you need to spend less time here to get your studies in order, doesnt mean it has to be goodbye forever.

Hey Bran,

Good luck with marching band next year! I'm currently in marching band at my school as part of the front ensemble (or the pit as we call it) and I find it enjoying for me, and I think you'll like marching band as well! I have a friend at my school who is a senior assistant in my town Bluewater who moved up from concert band (The 2nd lowest band) up to wind ensemble (which is our school's top band) within a year and I let him take some time off the server to work on that. Hopefully the same will happen to you when you take a break from minecraft! I was off the server for a few weeks as well (though i didn't announce it) to focus on school and stuff making sure i got work done on time and knew the material enough for those tests, and now that the first quarter's almost over I've been back for a bit. Good luck with school this year and hopefully you will come back to see us again, and if you need a place to stay, Doha and our friendly staff will greet and accommodate you for the time you arrive back!

Hey, I know it's weird to advise this, and it's probably a good idea to cut back, but make sure you don't remove your hobbies from your life completely. If Minecraft is something that you do to release stress, and you stop doing it, how are you going to handle the stress that builds up? Perhaps allowing yourself a chunk of time on Sunday nights after your homework is done can be beneficial.

Aside from that, if you ever have a quick question (or you need more help than that) with any of your classes let me know and we can GV or skype or something. I do finally have a webcam. (EDIT: Nope, scratch the cam, the drivers haven't been updated since probably Vista so it only works if I'm using Linux... maybe... but I can still talk you through stuff.) I don't have a lot of practice tutoring, but I was a valedictorian in high school all the way through. I look at the subject matter from a slightly different angle than most teachers do, and sometimes that outside point of view is what it takes to make it click. I offer this service to those I consider my friends.

I'm also a murderer with a red pen. Recommend thick skin if editing is requested. Although, if you can learn how I edit, your essays will become college level in no time.

EDIT: I kinda agree with what @MasahiroRina said, but try to keep a majority of your hobbies healthy and creative... devote more time to art, music, sports and such. Hobbies that'll nourish your mind and soul. You will find yourself feeling much happier.
