/fly off = useful?

    Do you have a situation where you find /fly off to be useful? It seems to me that eliminating the fly command and just having donators always in fly mode would be ideal. It'd behave just like being in creative mode (just with slower speed).

    Just for clarification for what it'd be like without fly commands.. while you're flying you can still hit SpaceSpace to stop flying and fall to the ground. Likewise, to start flying again you'd just hit SpaceSpace while on the ground.

    Typing /fly off makes it so that your player will not fly when you hit SpaceSpace. There's no way to cause your player to fly until you type /fly on again.

    /fly off is good if you are doing parkour, but thats the only time i feel it is needed. or when you do lots of jumping.

    ~#EDIT I figured out something else it is useful for, when in a town or kingdom held spleef or pvp tourny ( i think this is pretty important as there is no Deity games atm )

    I agree with Heinz fly off is useful for a private parkour in towns, I love those. :)

    I know there are some games that players play from time to time that require the fly to be off, specifically so they can take fall damage. There is a trivia game I participated in a while ago that when someone gets a question wrong they get pushed off a very tall area and fall to their death.
