To support my statement that we cannot trust our wooden pickaxe and to explain how incomplete the information is, i made an example.

I prepared a small chest and inventory of items to fill it, one item per one chest space:
    2015-03-10_11.34.48.png

Logblock of chest placement works flawlessly:
    2015-03-10_11.35.00.png

Then i started filling items in:
    2015-03-10_11.35.47.png

In the middle of filling i stopped and made sure it appears on the logblock:
    2015-03-10_11.36.11.png
The first item on the list is creating the chest, then i have put 13 items in, logblock has 14 lines total, the last one being putting in the white dye.

Then i continued to fill the chest and logblocked it after:
    2015-03-10_11.36.38.png
You can see the rest of previous logblock on top of the chat screen and last item from the first part (white dye) on the bottom. Every item that i have put into after white dye deleted one of previous lines in the logblock.

Conclusion: the logblock is limited to 15 most recent items, which is not enough to show all changes even in a single chest.

Unfortunately, that's how the log block tools work. I haven't looked into the configuration for it, so I don't know if there's even somewhere to adjust that, but I doubt it. The tools are just that, tools. That is where the staff comes in for more in depth checking as we have use of the commands.

So, for basic checking, the tools are enough. If you are trying to check a public or community chest, then you're going to have to ask one of us for assistance.

Edit: there is a configuration option to increase it, but would need to be tested with Deity to find exactly how the increased limit would work with non staff who don't have access to view different pages. Since pages are limited to 15 lines and can't be changed.

Also, sometimes one may take something or put something away without the logs recording it. This especially happens during repetition of an action (note especially, not always).

Only being able to see 15 most recent items can be good and bad. Good as for the player using the tools doesn't get spammed with a bunch of text and then having to scroll through to see if there might be any important messages they missed. Bad , like Versyhe and Barry pointed out, is that non server staff can't get a very in depth look into the container. perhaps make it so that a town staff can have the ability to look at more of the recent items? (30-45 of the most recent?) but other than that i see no need to check that far back into a chest unless it's for stealing purposes, thus a server staff would be needed to check and thus ban the player (temporal or permanent, which ever the crime )

    I have a suggestion,

Maybe, like /res ledger, /t ledger and many other help commands, a system of commands that shows multiple pages of log block could be implemented. This would make log blocking a lot easier and convenient for players, especially players like myself, who are in different, low populated time zones where sometimes there are no moderators on. The only time I can get a hold of a moderator (usually) not via /ticket is when Sephronia is online ;). Now I know Seph can't be online 7 days a week, so I feel these new log block commands would come in help a lot.

Suggestions on changes to the plugin need to be taken to the developer of the LogBlock plugin, not here.

The only things we can do with logblock, are what is offered for us to do withing the permissions/configs that we are provided. The ability to up the amount of logs that are provided by the tool (15 by default) is the only part of this that can be changed And as I said earlier, needs to be tested to see whether it will even work for non staff. The pages in logblock are only 15 records long, so if we extend the amount of logs that the tools can show, and the plugin puts them in 15 log pages, then you will still only be able to see 15 logs.

The permission system for the plugin isn't expansive enough to give players access to only view more pages without giving full access to that portion of the plugin, so I highly doubt that will be done as referenced by smc Here.

I do logblocks for other people - not only my residents, not only my friends, but any player who wants to have their chests checked for stolen items. Many times when i found the name, the victim said that it was a friend and they didnt want to call moderators. So i gave them list of stolen items and they asked their friend to return it, but now i realise that i probably gave them incomplete list of just 15 items if the theft was bigger.

I dont want to give incomplete list.

    1. I want The Ultimate Logblock Shovel. (If we can use sponge as logblock tool, i believe we can use wooden shovel too.)
    2. I want it as a perk for high nobility rank - rank 2 (Count) could be good for it.
    3. I want this shovel to show me 4 pages of logs = 60 lines = enough to see all items in a double chest. (vanilla chat screen has up to 100 lines so 4 pages wouldnt scroll away too quickly).
    4. I want to pay Dei for it. Lets say 50 Dei per click if it causes so much lag.

The reason we have Sponge as a tool is because it was changed from the original bedrock to sponge. If you want a shovel as a log tool, we can change it to that from a pickaxe, but it's not going to change it's abilities.
I explained the extent of what we can do in my previous post.

Nah, no need for a shovel if we cannot change the way how the tool works.

    However to reply to this:

I seem to be allowed to do /lb prev and /lb next commands, there is just no more pages:
    2015-03-11_10.38.17.png

So if we can browse through log pages, simple rising of the limit to 60 lines could be enough.

    Can this be tested?
