1+ Year Thread & Farewell

Hello.

This will have multiple posts, but it's getting late for me so I will post the rest :edit: when I get better from being sick.

Some of you may know me, either in a good or bad way. It's been a while since I've seen a "Goodbye" post on the forums, which is a good thing for the server, to see so many active people either new or old. But first, I guess I have to tell my story like everyone else, as this could be a late 1 Year Post from me.

I'll be honest with you, not really sure when I joined in-game. But forums says September 1 2013 so I guess I'll start my story from there.

When I first joined, I wasn't really sure what to do. I hit all those NPC's not bothering to read all the text and did the universal command, /spawn which led me to one of the best builds I've ever seen in Minecraft. I spent a good 1 hour or so running around the spawn, getting lost, admiring the builds around me, and being inspired. At the time I wasn't very social, although I wanted to ask who built this, and how long it took by seeing the size of the whole spawn.

After running around the spawn, I hopped off for a bit, and re-joined the server in another few hours, where I had saw a great pink message that if I haven't seen it, I'd not be here for the time I had stayed. After reading the pink message that talked about voting, I clicked the link to go vote, where after voting for $200 dei, I started to read the details of the Minestatus page. Which to be truthful, I doubt much people do.

Looking into the Minestatus page I've got to see things that have interested me, mostly the large amount of plugins and the interest of towns. I had been experienced in the Towny plugin for only a short bit in the past from other servers I had hopped on and off from, but with all the things on Minestatus that had described the server, it greatly influenced me to stay alongside the build of the spawn.

After looking into the Minestatus page, I later on went back into my Minecraft browser to see a message telling me to use the command /register, which I had done. Going onto the server website, I searched around it somewhat getting confused at some points, before looking into the portal and seeing the towns of the server.

In a simple fashion, I had joined the town Doha, which on the list had been "#1" at the time. As a new player, I had gotten interested in joining the town since it had been ranked that on the portal, not knowing that it was on that list along with the many other towns on the list due to votes just from residents.

While in Doha, I was asked to get onto TeamSpeak3 from my Mayor, @The_Yogs, after an hour or so trying to set up TeamSpeak, I joined our TeamSpeak server. After saying a quick "Hello." that I'd probably never say again right after that for the next few months, Yogs had went afk so I started chatting with another person, @BarryX15 .

Barry had been one of the nicest people I have met on this server, to this day I respect him a lot with all the work he's done on the server.

So when chatting with Barry, he taught me the basics of the server alongside my friend @i_dorkypandaz as we waited for Yogs to return from his eternal afk. Once Yogs had came back, I'd asked him for a plot and built my first house, which I'd have to admit was pretty terrible if you were to compare it to my current builds.

After my time in Doha, which was about a month, I had gotten tired of having to run around all of Doha just to find my house. So I had taken my leave to join a smaller town but one that was active and had nice residents and buildings. That lead me to Anavasi owned by @Stephforkwhere I'd stayed a couple months there along with meeting various people, @tran052699 , @Chub_Master101 , and @KiddieWish .

During my time in Anavasi I'd try to fix up my building style, before seeing in chat someone giving away a town. The town was called Invictus, at the time I had said I would try my best to revive it, but sadly I had failed in the end due to me not being experienced enough to lead a town at the time, although it had lasted a few months, I had fun building in it.

After selling my town to another person, @Vershye , I had moved on back to Doha to become an assistant where I met @Niall4igoe . During that time I have picked up a project to make him an island, where I soon went in-active for 6 months.

Returning from my break, I had recently tried to get back to building my island for Niall, which I couldn't get myself to re-do. Thus after that, an incident had occurred where my little floating island in the edge of the map I had, had been griefed in the time I was gone.

I had left Doha again after a few days due to my lack of interest during that time, with the grief of my stuff also being a cause in factor, so I set my eyes to a new town that had interested me. The town of Veligrad.

In the beginning, I wanted to join Barry's town originally, since he seemed to be very nice guy who knew a lot of things. But at the time I had joined Doha so I thought to myself, that it'd be rude to leave like that whilst I also wasn't sure if Barry would let me join.

So I had asked Barry in a forum thread if I would be able to join, I was pretty nervous to be honest since during my whole time in the server in that point of time, I hadn't been a very social person, only sticking to /tc with my fellow townies.

But Veligrad, that was the town I really felt part of the community where I'd be able to chat away with my fellow derps in our town-chat after a few days of my shyness and being able to know people in there. It was a very heartwarming and nice town, with the buildings and the residents who inhabited it.

Also for those who don't know, this is my farewell & 1+ year post and more mentions about people I've met, and "Thank you" messages. And the reason for my farewell will be posted.

Edit: don't you just love how I basically made the other 4 months super short while my first few days super long.

Emotion, I'm really sorry to see you go. You're an amazing person and if you ever decide to return, we'll welcome you with open arms. I hope that your future endeavors do you well.
