I always get scarred when people walk in to my house and open the doors, so i was thinking about making a door that can only be opened by a key. How it works: It would be made the same way as an iron door but there would be two extra components, locks and keys. You can make the lock by placing iron ingots in a diamond shape with a hole in the middle. After you craft it, right click the door and i key will pop out. This key can be used to only open that door. Please take my idea under consideration!

We have that for certain level donators. They can lock doors and chests. If you're in a town, you just make sure 'use' perms aren't set to public. You have to keep in mind though, doors other than oak doors aren't added to deityprotect yet, so can be opened by anyone.

As a note, the P stands for Public, which is everyone. I'm sure Mas meant for it to be 'resident set permissions access TS' which is Town Staff.

Also, as per the Suggestion Guidelines...

    5. Do not suggest something that requires a change of blocks, or the entire game itself. Not everything is possible. We are not Notch nor Jeb.

    Many thanks,

Yep a mistake on my part, however aren't town staff able to access no matter which is set?

That's a good point. Town Staff should be able to access anyway, so perhaps it is a superfluous addition to the residential permissions options?

    Many thanks,

Unfortunately this isn't the case. If they resident sets his or her plot so that only people on their friends list can walk in the plot then not even town staff can go on it. This is extremely annoying and hopefully it gets fixed or is already changed :O

    Hi all,

I would assume this has been brought to staff attention previously? If not, putting this in the bug thread might be a good idea. Thank you for bringing this up.

    Many thanks,
    Seph

Well i encountered it last map and when I asked if this was a bug I was told yes and it would be fixed at Imdeity's earliest convenience. Haven't encountered it yet on this map but I might do some testing later.

So the issue is that town staff cannot access a plot if the player sets access permissions to friends only? If this is true and the change is OK with staff, I'll add it to DeityProtect.

also, your friends can still access the plot when it is set to TS. As far as I know, your friends list just overrides permissions.

Not 100% sure but i believe that even if assistants cannot access a plot if a resident had set access to F, the mayor can still access the plot.

Looking at the code, mayors, kings, and all town staff override all permissions for every plot in the town. If this is not the case (can someone test it?), I'll look into the issue.

    Tested and confirmed:
    /res set permissions access F
    or
    /plot set permissions access F
kick normal residents away from the plot but assistants, senior assistants and mayors still have access.

    So Ngennaro's complaint
    is no longer valid.
