    Just proposing the idea of advertising on a new voting website(i.e. Minecraftservers) because Minestatus is not as popular as it once was. If someone googles "minecraft servers" Minestatus does not even come up anymore.

    Why not just move the main 200 dei vote over to minecraftservers. It would be a free and possibly better alternative.

    It would be nice to have a voting system that did not restrict voting from multiple accounts from the same IP address but rather limit it to one time per valid minecraft account every 24 hours as there are many people who have friends or siblings voting from the same household and it gets very cumbersome finding unique ways for everyone to vote on a regular basis. As long as someone has a valid account there should be no reason they cannot vote from the same household.

    While the idea is not bad, this is not pertaining to the topic of this thread. Also, this suggestion is one for the voting sites themselves as ImDeity has no authority over the way that the sites are run.

    It's up to Deity as he's the only one that can set it up. If he likes the suggestion, he'll do it. If he doesn't, he won't.

    As long as we're able to vote, I don't care what site it's on personally.

    Deity knows minestatus is a dud, it's only a matter of time when it gets swapped out as being the site that pays out 200 dei.

    You should care to be honest. I did not post this out of personal desires but instead my love for the server. I want people to be able to find out about this amazing place and spread the Deity love.

    In addition, it's my opinion that the main benefit of voting is to bring more awesome people to the server, the 200dei is just a bonus. Sure we could always use minestatus and get a few new people a day from it, but by using a different site but the same de reward and capcha, we have the ability to bring on so many more awesome individuals to play with.

    We are also pretty much the only remaining quality towny server(Long live ImDeity!). The new meta for the minecraft community is geared more towards mini-games, but there will always be people looking for a quality SMP/Towny server like ours. We have hardly any towny/SMP servers to compete with for players, so if they can find us they will all come here!

    I can attest that Deity has been looking into other places to advertise the server for some time, but it hasn't been in focus for a while. Deity has been spending most of his time on retention rates than new players, and the result is that over the past year the server has been retaining more and more players. I imagine that Deity will have more time to put thought into where a good place / places will be to advertise in the future, but right now he is trying to get everything working and patched. 1.8 was not the kindest of updates, and is more time consuming than the previous updates.

    Not sure if this is relevant, but I would be perfectly fine with splitting the 200 dei reward for voting in half and putting it over both minestatus and the other site. What i mean is one site gets 100 dei and the other 100 dei. It doesn't add any more money to the economy and it puts us out there on two websites :p
