I currently am Using the Turtle Beach PX22 (MLG Edition) and a Prosound A99JB Mic, but altogether that is at least £130 cheapest so out of your price range, but look at the cheap Turtle Beaches, they are the best.

I use a cheap gaming headset and I see no difference between it and a fancy headset like a razor.

image.jpg I'm currently using the logitec g230, which is about 80 bucks, but mine was 50 (and some prices are a bit lower) so if you look around you should be able to find a good price. It's a good headset, but Logitech has made more updated models (g430 and 930, though they might cost a bit more). Here's a pic of the 230

Having used soups headset I can confirm it is a very good headst, it's really comfy and the cord is huge so you can go like 3-4 meters from your PC. Ok maybe not that long but it's pretty big.

As for myself, I'm using a Microsoft Lifechat LX-3000. It's not cheap, yet not too high-priced. I bought it around a year and a half ago, at the cost of 100CAD$, and as far as I know today, the price got lowered, too. It's really comfy, the sound is great, and the microphone quality is decent.
You can look it up here, if you want.

Thats the spare headset I am using at the moment as I am waiting until christmas for a better one as after nearly 2 years my Turtle beaches jack lead has started lowering in quality and is now hard to keep it in place, I managed to get it for only £15 at Argos :p

The px22 has a control pad sort of thing, plus multiple jacks for different systems, plays through BOTH earpieces and can adjust volume via the control pad and all of the other stuff.
