2014 Fifa World Cup Final:

As hopefully most of our Imdeity Kingdom members are aware, This Sunday/Monday is the 2014 FIFA World Cup Final. The two best sides this year, Germany and Argentina will face off to discover which team is the best since the 2010 South African World Cup. Brazil this year has brought many amazing relationships and events which has brought Brazil as a nation closer together.

The two teams fighting it off, Germany and Argentina have had an amazing history coming up to this world cup so I thought I would showcase this.​

Germany - Deutschland

Prior to the creation of the German Football League, football was played among clubs and schools throughout the country until 1903 when the first match was played. This is officially the first match of a championship game in Germany. Over one year football spread across the country like wildfire grasping people to play this magnificent game. And in 1904 Germany joined FIFA (Federation Internationale de Football Association). Then from 1904 until 1944 most German Teams competed in the Viktoria Meisterschaftstrophäe meaning the Victoria Championship League and competed for the trophy named the Kronprinzenpokal, which was given to Germany by the Prince of Persia. In 1932, Germany was hosting 150000 official soccer players and many more were enjoying the game. During the reign of the Nazi Party, Football was severely disrupted. After WW2 until the collapse of the wall, Germany was split into two different countries, East and West Germany. These two countries were against each other in all competitions.

As Germany was split into two for around 50 years, I will not be discussing the matches of them. It gets very complex because other countries like Yugoslavia were also considered to be German.
From 1992, Germany competed as one nation.

In the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France, Germany competed well in the group defeating the United States of America and Iran, but drew against Yugoslavia at the group stage. In Round 16, Germany defeated Mexico but when faced against Croatia in the Quarter-Finals, they lost 3-0. Four years later in Japan/South Korea, Germany defeated everyone but Ireland in the group stage, From Round 16 to the Semi-Finals Germany defeated everyone but in the Final unfortunately the lost against Brazil. Germany hosted the 2006 World Cup and competed well up to the Semi-Finals but unfortunately lost. In 2010, Germany came third in the world cup in South Africa.

This Year, 2014 Germany has made an outstanding performance. Here are their results;

Germany vs. Portugal - 4-0
Germany vs. Ghana - 2-2 (4-2)
Germany vs. United States - 1-0
Germany vs. Algeria - 2-1
Germany vs. France - 1-0
Germany vs. Brazil - 7-1
Germany vs. Argentina - Yet to be played.

Argentina - Argentina

Football was introduced to Argentina in the latter half of the 19th century by the British Immagrants in Buenos Aires. The first Argentine league was contested in 1891, making it the third oldest league. The Argentine Football Association was formed in 1893 and is the eighth oldest in the world. In 1893, Games began to play throughout the country with multiple teams competing against each other on a weekly basis every week of the year! No other country played every week like Argentina. And by 1907 there were over 300 teams.

Argentina began playing in the FIFA World Cup in 1930 and in the first time entering they came 2nd overall. Argentina had a bumpy start with sometimes not entering or not qualifying to the world cup due to numerous reasons. But in 1974, Argentina was showing true potential, but even though they didn't win they showed that their side was coming back. And in 1978, Argentina defeated the Netherlands in an amazing battle and also won in 1986 eight years later. Since 1986, Argentina has not won a world cup since but this year, 2014 that might change. Argentina has fought hard often placing 2nd, 3rd or 4th in World Cups since and this year is no difference. Argentina will hopefully bring hope the title.

Argentina in 2014 have competed very well. Here are their results;

Argentina vs. Iran - 1-0
Argentina vs. Nigeria - 3-2
Argentina vs. Switzerland - 1-0
Argentina vs. Belgium - 1-0

Argentina vs. Germany - Yet to be played.

I think that Germany are at the strongest they have been for many years, I don't think that even messi can stop them
Argentina will have to play an amazing game with their best players to stand a chance, I feel that they will have problems straight off if they DON'T start with Messi and Aguero as in my opinion they both play well together and are both strong and confident players.

 

Germany is going to smoke the living dreams out of Argentina.

1. Messi is radically overrated
2. Germany isn't a group of 11 players, it is a TEAM of 11 players
3. Gwenhywar and Arwen must win every bet they make because they are goddesses

Congratulations to Germany, and nice try to Argentina.
Even though it was 0-0 for most of the game, it was a good game against the top two for this year.
