Shroom Thumb and various other herbalism woes.

I realize I'm probably one of the few who gives half a dei about the mmo skills. But I was really looking forward to using shroom thumb in the herbalism tree.

For those of you who don't know, shroom thumb consumes a red and brown mushroom to attempt to turn a block of grass or dirt into mycellium, which would be awesome.

This isn't working for me. The wiki for the MMO states I simply 'use' the mushroom on a block of dirt and it will use the skill. Like the much associated 'green thumb' skill. But I'm not getting any results.

In addition to this, a few of the crops that should boost herbalism don't. Potatoes and Carrots most notably but also cocoa beans.

I was just wondering if this was intended, or a bug. Or, additionally, if anyone knew how to make shroom thumb work.

 

a lot of the mcmmo skills are disabled, or the level cap is low enough that there is no way to reach them. I also know they don't like mcmmo much for technical and economy reasons, so they might be using an older version of it.

 

Yea... I figured that might be the case, just wanted to check.

It's a shame too, I would love some mycelium on my roof. Oh well.

 

There used to be quite a lot for cheap in the mall. Try using the mall section of the portal to check.

 

There are definitely more than a few of us that care about McMMO, heck I even joined this server specifically for it so very long ago. Unfortunately many of the perks of mcmmo are disabled and have been for quite a while.

It's been a long time since I've checked, but the only excavation drops that worked were bones and gunpowder from gravel.

I know that if the cap of 200 max power level is ever removed, I'll be making sure to keep my place at the top of the excavation ranks (besides Smc D: )

 

Wait wait wait. All those things saying "mining skill increased" and "fishing skill increased" used to give you benefits? What happened to them?
