    DeitySiege Minigame
    Hello Everybody it’s your Pal, Dotteh, and I would like to welcome you to my suggestion thread.
    This Suggestion would be a New Minigame for the server, DeitySiege will be a Mob Escalation kind of Minigame based on the theme of ImDeity: Kingdoms itself. This idea has a little story behind it, that I just so happen to have made up. Here it is:

    "First of all in the World of Kingdoms we have Mr.ImDeity, he owns everything in his World and his home is based in his Spawn Castle. But then the Evil Herobrine comes along then overruns his castle with his Army of Undead Creatures [Skeletons and Zombies]. ImDeity manages to escape through passages of secret tunnels under his castle. But then ImDeity isn't going to give up without a fight so he calls upon his friends; xSock, smcallah and Notch! They all agree to bring up an army of people to help ImDeity capture his castle back!"

    And that is where the idea comes into play! Every ImDeity player is part of the army (Once they sign up). The aim of the minigame is to successfully kill all of the undead and get ImDeity and his friends back into the castle where they belong.

    Now I bet your thinking how will this thing work? Let me explain a little more.

    Here we have a birds-eye view of the Castle. There will be 4 teams able to start the Assault. The fourth coming team will have to start from the sea from the docks. Each team will have their own NPC they will need to get into the castle, the first 2 Blue Circles will be Alpha Squad that will have xSock and smcallah as their NPCs and the aim is to get them together at the First Green circle then push together to get in and the 2 Red Circles will be Bravo squad that will have the ImDeity and Notch NPCs and they will both have to meet up at the Second Green Circle before they can storm the Castle too. All teams will start separately but then the 2 teams in each squad will meet up to fight in the final frontier and take the castle once they have got partially in. And then once all teams get together they can storm the castle and face the final battle against Herobrine and his minions to retake the throne room. Then the minigame will be over!

    The Enemy's you will be facing would not be normal mobs you face on the Main Server, in the coding the Mobs will have to be tampered so they will have to be a lot harder than they are normally, because everyone knows how to fight normal mobs, so the minigame would be too easy. The event will also have to be timed so the minigame doesn't go on forever and it gives the urge that you have to be good at the Minigame to complete it in time.


    Some possible Question that most likely be asked?
    If this Minigame is a game where to complete it is to get to the finish, would it be cheated if people run straight for the Objective and not die?
    Ways to counter this would be Checkpoints being implemented, to stop the straight up completion of the event the use of Checkpoints would benefit it by having the whole event wait for all the teams in both squads to kill all the monsters around before they can move on, and until that is done the will have to hit the NPC to move them along, the NPC won’t move along either because the checkpoint isn't opened so they can’t go farther, or in the built-in code the NPCs won’t move until the objective is complete.

    What will we fight with? To make things better! We could add a Class picking system at the start of the game to decide what kind of items you want to use ingame for Example: Tank – Diamond Armour and Stone Sword or Archer – Bow and arrows, leather armour and potions. This can be done by using the similar sign-shop plugin method where you hit the sign and then your class is assigned. There could be loads of combinations you can use to make many different exciting classes when this is in Development. To add to the sign-class picking idea, to prevent any flaws in this system before the game starts there should be a timer allowing you a certain time to pick your class, and if you’re afk or don’t pick your class in time, you get moved back to the main world.

    If you die, is that it? If I was to design the whole thing, you would either have about 5 lives, or unlimited. But if you have unlimited you have to start from the Squad spawn point each time so you would have to run through the whole spawn again.
    Would NPCs be able to fight with you? That all depends if the Citizens/NPC plugin accepts that. It's not easy to program NPCs to attack. So maybe just a hit after objective is completed then the NPC will run.

    it looks like it would be a good game it is very well thought out. i think it would be nice if we could add it to the games of deity.

    I have to say, not bad. Not bad at all... I could definitely see something like this being added in the distance future. Only distant because this would most likely take ages to make.

    Here are my current thoughts:

    -I absolutely love the concept
    -The map is too large to be a "mini game"
    -The number of players required to make this effective and fun is too many to be a "mini game"
    -----As a direct result, I could see something like this being a weekly events

    -I have no idea where you are taking the members of Alpha Squad once they have met up at the first rally point. It would make more sense to me if everyone met up at the same rally point and stormed the castle in one very large group.
    -I do not know how npc's work, and I'm not certain if you can "escort" npc's. However, I can see one member of each group being made the HVT (High Value Target) that you would "have" to escort to the castle. Due to people either leaving or being disconnected, I wouldn't have this an actual requirement, just for the sake of lore.

    Other than that, I would love if we could get someone to make this.

    I think if you develop and explain more thoroughly what you mean this may become a weekly event. You also didn't specify what would happen if you died/amount of lives. I really agree with SaintThunder, but it really is too big to be a mini game.

    Like saint said having a HVT would be cool. But what if the mobs had a player for a leader. Using a disguise that player would be the mobs commander. How I see it should be is 1 life and you die but you should have some high value potions and armor so you don't die very easily. If everyone one dies mobs win. If you kill all the mobs the players win.

    Thankyou for your thoughts upon my idea.

    The first downside you made about Alpha squad, personally I thought I wrote this, but their way into the Castle, there is a river leading under the Castle by the under-city, if the Squad catches a boat into said river and make their way through the Under-city they will eventually meet up in time for them to face off in the Throne Room.
    The second thought you had, the NPC escorting, I love your idea of HVT and it would be a great alternative if the NPC plugin was too much to tamper with. We already know that the NPC plugin allows for it to be moved when you hit it, the Jeb_ in spawn, so maybe in the code if it was changed a little more it could be implemented, but if not your HVT idea would be a perfect replacement.


    As you said, having one life would work too. If you also think of the perspective of how big the map would be, having more lives would probably being the better option due to how many mobs you should be facing.

    This is such a great idea! But a few issues... 1) The whole city is overrun, you'll have to kill all the mobs in the city wouldn't you? 2) The spawn city will have to be modified so that it looks like it was overrun by mobs. 3) For those of you looking forward to this, don't. It will take a long time to code all of this. :/ But other than that, this is the best idea I've ever seen.

    And another thing, instead of the spawn, or maybe we could use it. Players/Mods could create custom maps. Because who likes a game that you can never lose? Because players love the thrill of having a chance of losing so they could play more, learn new strategies, and skills to fight the new mobs.

    To revise my idea: yes I still think but one life should be how many lives, but one life per checkpoint. If everyone on your team who is alive gets to the checkpoint, all dead members are brought back to life.

    I love this idea I don't have much to add because everything I wanted to has already been said but then I also thought what about the reverse the mobs are as seiging the castle and we must protect if the mobs reach the throne room where deity, notch, and mode npc are players lose if the players outlast the siege then the players win, the siege would get progressively harder with stronger and more mobs, this would have top be a weekly thing since it would take a while to complete, might be easier to implement

    Read Legoazurps's post and thought of this: One match of DeitySeige could last for a long time. Could possibly be up to 1-2 hours killing mobs. Maybe 2-3 rounds could be held at one time?

    But,
    What if you could make it so that the different squads could fight eachother to get to the end goal???
    And it could be PVP with Mobs Guarding the Final Area???

    An actual siege event, I like it :).

    But perhaps, instead of using the spawn+ castle as template map, perhaps something a tad smaller and possibly more open, I had a decent idea for a map like this, based on a WOW instance.

    As for suggestions regarding the HVT and escorting, I would suggest altering the aim of the squad(s) of to reconquering the castle or perhaps freeing a HVT prisoner ;)?

    Perhaps this idea in general could be used in combination with the things that are working in the dungeon system.

    All and all a lovely idea :)
