Little Riddles [Forum Game]

All this are riddles, and they all have answers. [Hint] Number four is simple

1). A man lives on a top floor of a building. He takes the lift down to the lobby to go to work every morning. When he comes back he can only take the lift halfway up the building unless its raining. Why?

2). A woman is falling and a man pulls her ring, it comes off. How does this save her life?

3). How can you throw a ball as hard as you can away from you and have it come back to you? It can't touch anything, and no one can throw it back to you.

4). In a plane, a pilot's altitude is 500 ft. Is it possible to drop 700 ft?


5) Three friends check into a hotel and decide to split the cost of one room, which cost thirty dollars for the night. They each give $10 to the hotel manager. Then they go up totheir room. Suddenly, the manager realizes that the cost of the room is really $25. He then sends a bellboy to return the extra $5. The greedy bellboy realizes that the three friends don't know that they're getting any money back. So he decides to keep some of it to himself. He gets to the room and tells the friends there was a mistake, and gives them $3 back. One for each of them. Smiling, he keeps the two dollars for himself.
But wait. The bellboy gave each of the friends back $1. That ment they had each spent $9 on the room. Nine times three is 27. And they bellboy kept $2 for himself. $27 plus $2 is $29. But the friends had originally paid the hotel manager $30. Where did the other dollar go?

6). A man works in a deli shop, what does he weigh?

7). What always runs but never walks, often murmurs, never talks, has a bed but never sleeps, has a mouth but never eats?

8). The more you have of it, the less you see, what is it?

9). The person who makes it sells it. The person who buys it never uses it. And the person who uses it doesn't know they are. What is it?

10). Give me food I will live, give me water and I will die. What am I?

11). Two spines but "a thousand" ribs.

12). The more you take the more you leave behind.

1) The man is a dwarf, or midget as you would, and on the way back up he can't reach the tenth floor button,. When it's raining, he has an umbrella maybe? and can reach it
4) It could fall into some unusually large cavern that goes downwards? Or maybe it fall into the sea than sink the 200 ft

Number 2 was done incorrectly, but I've fixed it.

 

If you don't mind I have a few riddles

1. A dirt hole is 3 feet deep and 6.5 feet in diameter how much dirt is there?

2. I am the beginning of the end, and the end of time and space. I am essential to creation, and i surround every place. What am I?

3. What happens when you throw a yellow rock into a purple stream?

4. You cannot see me. You cannot touch me. You cannot hear me, but you can break me. What am I?

That is incorrect. You can hear a heart try again

 

4) Sight
1)4.5 feet of dirt
Two and three are creative. I like them.

 

It has no dirt in it, it's a hole.

1 and 4 are wrong. Sight is what you see with try again

that is wrong also. Hint nothing spiritual or having to do with eyes

Edit: If you do not have an answer to number 3 you are over thinking!

 

3. It makes a splash?
4. Air, unless you count air pressure as touching it. And you could break the molecules that the air consist of into atoms with a simple chemical reaction but I'm sure that would be over-thinking it.
