Do you want the reset?

just wanted to say thanks to everyone for your support its been great. and thanks to your strength you have given me i feel honoured to return in kingdoms 2.0 as king of kingdom Hearts. and anyone who thinks of stealing the name kingdomHearts has heard it first here. so i call dibs on kingdom hearts. its going to be spectacular. thanks for your support and kind words, your belief in me has renewed my faith. how could it not?
you guys are so special. viva 2.0!

its the players than keep me here. not anything else. you all deserve so much more and i intend to make sure you all get a non biased ruler who will always put your needs first.

 

Originally when I found out about the reset (A few hours before I'm typing this now) I was 100% against it. The reasons I was against were because I'd spent quiet a lot of time and put in loads of effort in obtaining valuables and helping create the Vestige spawn.

I now realise the effort and time I put in to obtaining valuable items and helping create the Vestige spawn is nothing compared to what others did so I'm not that bothered any more 'bout it.

I can't wait for all the new opportunities the reset will create and I've got some good ideas on what to build

 

I would say no because i spent a lot of time into my builds and town. But then If i think of the long run, I may say yes. It might be better for everyone. It is a sacrifice though.

 

I would say yes. Although I was making lots of money right before the reset, I know that I can make more money after the reset- there'll be many more people to trade with

 

I say yes. But it doesn't matter, because it's happening no matter the opinion of the few. People don't seem to realize that.

 

Here is my opinion on the reset:

This reset was inevitable with the release of Kingdoms 2.0, there was no possible way of integrating it with the current version of Kingdoms due to dropping the WorldGuard dependency. Nonetheless, the reset will still cause issues for many people. With the last reset, there were many issues. People didn't get their inventories restored correctly, the donor money took forever to get, and the protection region was expanded a few days after the reset, leaving many unbuilt structures in it.

There are many bugs that will not be fixed by a reset, and many bugs that will come with the reset. Providing that these bugs are fixed quickly by Deity, the reset may be beneficial. Otherwise, we should have just stuck with the current bug ridden world.

This world contains several abandoned towns, that have been neglected to have been destroyed. The reset will take care of these towns, but this will happen with the new map as well. Precautions were supposed to have been taken on the last reset to prevent the map from being ruined, and as we can see this never happened. If there is no effort made to clean up old towns on the new map, the same thing will happen again.

After the reset, tons of stuff was changed. The town price fluctuated without any public notice, and the protection region was expanded leaving many people not being able to edit their own stuff. These things should be planned out ahead of time to ensure that this does not happen again.

To conclude, the reset has its ups and downs. But, if done correctly, can be a revive to the community and be very helpful to this server's future.

 

As to quote Deity in answer to most of your words: "We were not that prepared last time."

But we will be now.

Cleaning-up of old towns should actually start again, once they pop up, however last time there were so many and the idea of what to do with them was a bit flawed.

 

Look at those numbers! If your really leaving then you obviously do not support the wants of the server.

 

People are just being honest. I am coming back because of the reset, some people are leaving because of it, and some people just don't want it but play anyways.

 

I've been playing and ill be playing again.

I'm excited because the reset brings way more possibilities.

 

I've been playing before the reset and like Johndahbomb, i'll still be playing after it.

I'm really looking forward to a completely clean slate, and the opportunity for more teamwork within my town in order to make sure everything can be built as quickly but as nicely as we'd like it to be built.

 

Oh god yes! If the reset actually brings back players like everyone says so then this is just amazing. I have really missed the days of ImDeity when there were constantly 100+ players on.

 

Oh, we'll have more than 100 players on the server! >.> I'm thinking 200+ occasionally 500.

... What my standards aren't that high ...

 

I think it's a good call. You'll probably see me around again, building some cool stuff and instigating some trouble.

When is the reset supposed to happen?

 

News flash! The server has been reset before and everything was just fine afterwards. New towns were made and old towns were remade. Sometimes it's good to start fresh. Life goes on.
