Didn't read A Song of Ice and Fire, due to The Game of Thrones decided to get it though...

Liked a lot The Farseer Trilogy by Robin Hobb, and the story continues in The Liveship Traders Trilogy and The Tawny Man Trilogy.

Farseer Trilogy books (if you'r interested):
    Assassin's Apprentice
    Royal Assassin
    Assassin's Ques

And of course if you want something a bit darker and a bit humoristic, read anything by Neil Gaiman ;)

    Hope this helps, Mate :)

You should read the "Sword of Truth" Series. There's 11 books with more to come and they're all about 800-1000 pages long. By Terry Goodkind :D

As a former bookseller it makes my heart bump fast, when I read that at least a few people read... ;) That kinda makes me answering to this posts. First of all: Does not matter how old you are, read childrens books or at least that for elder children. To make two different editions made the publisher house of Harry Potter richer everywhere, but why reading an edition that looks more mature from the outside but has the same text inside? That is quite of strangeto me. And if you are a great fan of fantasy or vampires childrens books are often the right choise: Darren Shan is an author and the title of a vampire saga. I just loved it. Or every book of the German author Kai Meyer. I just looked up that unfortunately my favourite book of him is not translated (German: Die Alchimistin, would be some thing like "the female alchemist"). But some of his childrens books already are in French or English. In February next year his book "Arcadia awakens" will be published in an English version. While I am looking forward to read the third part of this... ;)
    regards,
    Gwenhywar

That's a good post. I tend to read almost anything, but I do prefer novels especially ones in a long series. I might check out my local library and pick up something at random, see how it goes. As for all of the aforementioned books and authors; Thank you, will take me awhile to check out most books and decide if I wish to read them or not.

Yeah, they definitely are. The films are still decent on their own, but when compared to the books.. they aren't that good.
