Teehee. I live in a place where most do not know that well of. The place where there "should" be cowboys and indians, but I haven't seen them recently.

A suburb off of Oklahoma City, Edmond, known for... Thunder?

I live in a town- well more a city- called Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu, in Quebec, Canadia.
It is mostly known as a holder of the floods in spring 2011.

On a more serious talk, this city has been created in the late 17th century. It had the first British-North-American railway.
During the Indian-French war, the French colony built the "Fort St.Johns", that held throughout the 1818-1819 war against Great-Britain (That we lost, by the way). It now became a Military College, that is used for an ASU host(Area Support Unit), and as an officer training establishment. Now that the only military University is at Kingston,Ontario, Canada, it still gives lessons in french for newcomer in the Canadian Forces.

In 2012, the town is known for holding one of the largest Hot Air Balloon Festival. Last year, it took up more than 400'000 people in a week, wich is nearly 3 times the entire city population. They have well-known artists that comes each year (most popular last year was of course LMFAO and Kesha). So here's a picture of the city+ the balloons.

Ive been living in Portland OR, USA
    [IMG]
Our beautiful Mount Hood, below Portland Dowtown buildings.
    lots and lots of bridges.
Portland is known for its progressive culture, being environmentally conscious, mining/woodcutting heritage, bridges, the Willamete and Columbia river, we have wild salmon, and lots of other types of trout. I would highly recommend Portland for tourism because of the free public transportation in downtown areas.

At the end of the month, I am moving back home to Indianapolis, IN, USA
Known for corn, soy, the Colts (football), the Pacers (basketball), racing (the indy 500 and the brickyard 400) tons of major universities are nearby, and being flat. I probably missed some sports teams but im not a huge fan, so meh.

the war monument that the town is centered on...similar to the design of Paris or Washington DC, but on a smaller scale.

    Hope you enjoyed the post!
    Best regards,

I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada(well 8 months of the year).. which is Canada's capital :)
It has probably around 800,000 people in the city area itself, more likely 1 million people if you include the outer suburbs.

It's probably most well known for the Parliament buildings
    [IMG]

As well as the Rideau Canal, which goes for 200km(126 miles) which is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a designated National Historic Site of Canada. :)
The coolest part is that the Rideau Canal becomes the world's largest skating rink for a few months during the winter, it is an absolute blast to skate on it.. :)

I live in Nottingham, England, UK, Europe, Earth, The Milkyway, Somewhere in a galaxy far far away. I think you get the picture.
Nottingham is the hope of the Infamous tale of Robin Hood and some of the legends of what happened in England in Medieval times.
Top picture is the view from one of the exterior walls overlooking most or even all of Nottingham. That can be found on probably the biggest hill in Nottingham.
Middle Left picture is the Infamous Robin Hood. A legend in himself and his pose showing his great skill with using a bow.
Middle Top Picture is the council house right in the centre of Nottingham in the "Old Market Square" the whole City Centre has been revamped now so it looks a lot better than before. Anyway, many times in a year as in the name of it Markets of different themes and such come in and advertise different cultures and stuff, also it can get changed for bigger public events like a ice rink gets place in there at Christmas or the Big Wheel of Nottingham in around summer time.
Top Middle Right picture :p Is our very own tram systems that pretty much reaches all four corners of Nottingham.
Bottom Left picture is the Wollaton Hall that is reasonably close to where i live but it's quite far away for me to walk. This Museum type place is based inside a Deer Park so there is loads of scenery around and as i said, a lot of Deer roam around freely. It's a great place for a day out. Also that I thought was quite amazing, some sections of the new Dark Knight was filmed at this very place.
Middle Bottom picture is the biggest bridge i believe in Nottingham, The Lady Bay Bridge, that runs right over the River Trent, and that flows directly through the centre of Nottingham.
Middle Bottom picture is just an old fashioned pub that can be found somewhere in Nottingham.
Middle Bottom Right picture is the entrance to the exterior wall of the Castle.
Bottom Right picture is 1 of the two home Football team stadiums in Nottingham, the one in the picture is home for the Nottingham Forest Football Club. And they are currently just out of the Premier League so they are a very good team. The other team is Notts County FC.

There is a lot more to see in Nottingham but I can't really think of anything better than those there.

(note: i got that picture of wikipedia:p)

I live in my hometown of Westminster, CO, which is where I grew up. Westminster is a suburb of Denver, the big city on the eastern edge of the Rocky Mountains, also known as the Front Range.

Denver sits in a hilly, crescent valley next to the mountains. Its nickname is the Mile High City, because much of the city sits at or just around exactly a mile above sea level, and it's been called the Queen City of the West. Famous for many things, not the least of which is our proximity to our lovely mountains, but also well known sports teams, connection to lots of high-tech industry, as well as many historical happenings and people. It's also the only city to ever decline hosting the Olympics.

Westminster is a northwest suburb of Denver, not very far south of Boulder. I grew up in south or 'old town' Westminster, but now my family lives in the northern part of the suburb:

(I can see my house from here! :D Sort of ... ) Those tall things you can see on the horizon there are the huge wind turbines of the wind energy research laboratory, only a few minutes from my house!

There's quite a few castles scattered about the Front Range, surprisingly. One of Westminster's most famous landmarks is Pillar of Fire, also known as Westminster College or Westminster Castle. It was originally the very first college started in the state, but closed in the early 20th century, and has since spent its time as a seminary, several boarding schools, a museum, and it now belongs to a local christian school and church. I grew up at the bottom of the hill from this place, only 6 or so blocks away, and when I was little little, I called it the tooth fairy's castle. It's built of local red brick, which is a very common building material throughout the Front Range. I grew up in a red brick house.

This is Westminster's largest body of water, Stanley Lake. It's a reservoir, and my family's home is only a block or two away. We're basically in the foothills, up against the mountains there, and there's only open prairie hills between us and the mountains, for the most part. There's a famous pair of eagles that live in the lake's open space, and sometimes you can hear the coyotes calling to each other, especially at night.

I live near a small coastal town called Kinsale, Which is about 15-20minutes away from where Mad lives. It's quiet popular with tourists for reasons I've yet to find out. Only a few shops there and it's packed with restaurants. As I was saying, I live near Kinsale, Right by the edge of a cliff :p
