why do we have to walk so long

    i was just thinking why do we have to walk 1000 blocks from main to build and 500 blocks to mine
    it is allot time wasted on walking
    ;)

    Good exercise! Lossens the joints and burns those calories!

    Jk. Main- to prevent random greifers and noobs to just build right in front of the spawn. (Tip: go to the portal room, and go into one of the portals. There's North East South West that beings you close, but not at the border) Mine- so nubs don't make bedrock ditches surrounding the spawn. Trust me. Not cool.

    I agree, I start walking during the day to go mine, and then it reaches night time before im even half way there, then i lose all my diamond tools :(
