Mine World Crashes

This seems to be a recent problem, though after being in the mine world for sometime and gathering many materials the mine world crashed. I logged in after some delay and all items are gone. I tried again later, and the same thing happened. So I decided just to stay away from that for a while. Then later one of my townies made the same complaint in town chat. I'm scared to go back until I know its stable again.

I've been having problems with this also, as well as my brother. It only happened to me once before I decided I wasn't going back, but it happened to my brother a couple of times.

 

I desided a week or so a go not to go untill I know it's safe or wanna risk it. Lol quick visits aren't bad

 

I had the following:
Full diamond armour, undamaged;
1 diamond pick, undamaged;
2 stone picks, 50%
40 iron ore;
3 iron ingots;
20 mossy cobble;
2 diamond swords, 75 %;
2 diamond spades, 60%;
70 coal;
lvl 20 Exp.
I lost EVERY ONE of these items after around 2 HOURS of mining! I want compensation from a mod or admin. This is ridiculous that a major glitch like this should not be fixed and I want MY ITEMS! If I do not get them back, I won't be bothered to mine and will just buy stuff.
This glitch needs to be addressed and items restored to glitch victims fast and the mine world needs to be safe once again.

I think I heard van talk about this. One question. How long was your "some delay"? I've heard, and experienced, that if you log in in a short time (1-2mins) after you logged out, or this case, crashed, your inventory could be at risk. I just wait as long as I can, 5 mins sorta, until I log back in. It's worked for me

 

You obviously do not get the point. Items are never restored, compensated or refunded in anyway. We all lose things to glitches and bugs. The town of Gaia once lost around 100k in items, including netherrack, gold ingots, and glowstone, due to a chunk corruption. There is no way to check your story, and there is no way your getting your items back.

Stay calm. The problem is already being looked at.

 

The mining world scared me ever since they moved it to another server . I saw van say somewhere that he fixed it though... I would either wait it out here, or send him a PM if you feel that this is a more urgent issue.

Yeah, I had something similar happen to me the other day...though right afterwards Deity got on and said it was fixed. But if this is still happening...I'm not sure what to say. Either way, I will say that I have been afraid to go back to the mining world myself and spend too much time there. I feel like I'm cursed and something bad always happens!

I've heard it doesn't always work, though... I only tried switching back and forth once last time, so maybe if it happens again (hopefully not) I'll try more times.

Wow, I am glad I read this post, I was just about to go mine with my Silk Touch Pickaxe, a terrible tragedy it would have been >.>

 

I went to the mining world yesterday in search of diamonds with all my stuff. I arrived at the mining world and noticed, where did my stuff go? After about 5 minutes of raging to myself, I got a message saying something along the lines of "Inventory Restored" and my stuff came back. I went mining and found some diamonds, then found out that the mining world wasn't working so I went back to main, and my stuff was fine. Is this crashing problem happening to everybody? I seem to have had a separate one where it took a while to restore my inventory when I switched worlds.

 

This problem has happened to many people and I am no exception. One way of noticing that it has crashed (well, for me, at least) is if the chat has suddenly stopped and the animals stop moving but continue to sound. By then, I would disconnect, wait for a while and reconnect. Things would return to normal by then.

I suggest you plan what you want to do in the mining world. Looking for logs? Focus on that only. Trying your luck at finding ores? Focus on that only. To avoid too much frustation, leave when you have a reasonable amount of the things you want. Like say, you have 3 or 4 diamond ores, leave. If you see more, decide to comeback later. If your lucky, they'll still be there.

This isn't foolproof but it has helped me avoid potential upsets.
