Town name ideas and Good place on live map

Hey fellow Imdeity Players

In my head I may be planning to start a new town, I not sure if Minecraftia is working out for me.

First I am looking for a good town name, my main town is going to be I think modern, I want the name to be interesting, stand out, make people maybe want to look at the town and join it not something boring, dull, simple e.g. I believe Minecraftia wasn't the best name.
So if you can think of a good/great town name I can use, please say it, I be glad to hear it and if I do choose your town name and create a town called that, I give you opportunity to join and you could give more ideas and help out.

Secondly I am looking for a good place on the live map on imdeity. I need somewhere which is mainly flat, hardly any big/huge mountains or big and deep water, also I don't want build my town near another town or big wilderness builds to not disturb it and I want hopefully make this a huge town. I want a grass biome and I don't mind it been a forest as long as it suits the above flat, hardly any big/huge mountains, etc.

The reason I put two things into one thread is because they both link to my new town I maybe creating (note I may change mind and not create new one but I am thinking closely to making one) and it be easier to look at one thread then creating two separate ones

There are very few untouched spots that can be seen on the Live Map. I can see an area near the edge that seems vacant. Try looking at the area around X:-990 Z:+780 What do you think?
Vacant space for a town comes at a higher priority than having flat ground.
Do you have enough dei to start a town again? (Not just for starting the town, but also for taxes, plot buying, emergency materials, and hiring workers to help clear the area). Do you have enough materials stockpiled for basic town building?

There seems to be a theme of naming towns after real places. So how about finding the most interesting/strange named place?
You could try "Llanfairpwllgwyngyll" which is the world's longest town name... (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Llanfairpwllgwyngyll)
Town members could just /t spawn. Visitors would have to type /t spawn Llanfairpwllgwyngyll.
If you were going for a town in the air theme, you could use "La_Rinconada", which is the world's highest altitude town. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_highest_towns_by_country)

Maybe just pay the 500 dei to change the name of the town you currently own? You can then slowly rebuild the roads into a modern theme and give residents a three week notice or so that they have to change their house to a modern theme. Alternatively, start a modern district in your town and then slowly let it spread until it encompasses the whole town. These options are less expensive than starting a new town and you would also have the benefit of not having to work out roads and plots.

thanks for trying help bilko but it not the theme and name which is the main issue. Mainly everything modern and I can live with name and can easily change it however we got problems which hard to sort out in our town.

p.s everyone still looking for good place and names

 

Maybe around X: 1734 and Z: -5610. It looks like a good place and there are cliffs with an overhang that you could make something cool on. (I havnt actually been there, i just used the live map, so i may be incorrect)

 

Thanks for trying to help, does look like nice spot however there builds and a town near by, so there would not be much space to expand

Not any towns, just a build, but you could expand in many other directions. Just a thought though.

 

How about here? Seems like a great area, no towns or build around.
